Our first Nassau County 4-H Hoofbeats Hippology Club meeting will meet September 12, 2026 at the Callahan Extension Office (543350 US Hwy 1, Callahan, FL 32011)

Please join us at this meeting to learn about 4-H and how your child can get involved. You DO NOT need to own your own horse to participate in the 4-H club. Meetings are focused on equine science (Hippology), games and fun with other horse crazy kids, community service, horse related projects/presentations, and competitions like horse judging and quiz bowl. Ages 8+

Club field trips and activities have included: JSO Mounted Unit, Retirement Home for Horses, Tack Shop Scavenger Hunt, Carriage Driving Special Edition, Love A Horse Camp, Jacksonville Equestrian Center and more!

Everyone is surviving the heat and loving the animals! 👀 how cute! Learning to longe, a Mom & Me session, working on 2-Point position, baby horse workouts and jump school for our big girls 🫶🏼

Lots of firsts this week! First time trotting off lunge line, no stirrups, bridleless rides, and archery. Sunset rides and creekside talks made this super hot week doable and everyone leveled up in their journey 🫶🏼

We just think Lillybelle is the most glamorous. She joined us in September 2022 and I don’t think she’ll ever leave. Born in 2017, Lillybelle the Haflinger was born on an Amish farm and trained to pull farm equipment and the family wagon to town each day. We’re not sure why they decided to auction her, but suspect it’s because she never grew over 13.2hh. She’s just the perfect size for us, though—she’s refined her skills under saddle and only grown more elegant with the tincture of time. She’s one of the biggest blessings at Belle Haven and we’re grateful for her kind and gentle soul in our lives 🥹🙏🏼🫶🏼
