π£ CBar Ranch Public Announcement: Temporary 14-Day Biosecurity Lockdown
Due to the recent outbreak of Equine Herpesvirus (EHV/EHM) affecting multiple states, CBar Ranch is implementing a precautionary 14-day lockdown to protect the health and safety of every horse in our care.
No horses at CBar Ranch are sick, and none have traveled to the affected regions.
This decision is strictly preventative and reflects our commitment to putting equine welfare above convenience, schedules, or outside expectations.
EHV/EHM is a serious and fast-spreading virus, and while Washington is not currently a hot zone, responsible barns nationwide are taking steps to prevent possible exposure. We refuse to wait until there is a problemβwe act to ensure there never becomes one.
Effective immediately:
β’ β No haul-ins
β’ β No haul-outs
β’ β No movement of horses on or off the ranch
β’ βοΈ Only essential life-saving veterinary care is permitted
Our priority is, and always will be, the wellbeing of the horses entrusted to us. The loyalty we have to our equine partners outweighs every inconvenience. Their safety is not worth the riskβnot now, not ever.
We will continue to monitor the outbreak closely through veterinary guidance and the Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC) and will adjust our timeline if needed.
Thank you for supporting responsible horsemanship and for standing with us in protecting the herd.
