Hello!

We just rescued this Bunny, we have all the supplies except an actually bunny cage.

Before we get one, I just wanted to see if any of our followers have a bunny hutch laying around that they no longer want that we can use out here at Mondak Animal Rescue.

*We do have a home lined up for him but they are out of town at the moment*

Mondak Animal Rescue will be closing early today at 3:30 PM so our staff can support, attend, and grieve alongside one of our own.

We are a family here, and when one of us loses a loved one, it affects us all. As many have seen on Facebook, a young man tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident last Saturday. Today is his Celebration of Life service.

With staff members attending, we will be short-handed and need to close our doors early today.

This will not affect any boarding drop-offs or pickups, as those are scheduled after 5:30 PM.

Thank you for your understanding, kindness, and continued support as we stand beside the Goebel family during this incredibly difficult time.

We would also like to thank everyone who has been dropping off food donations for the family at the shelter. Your generosity and support are deeply appreciated.

• A 45-minute yoga class with kittens

• Space for just you and your crew

Cost: $300 donation made directly to Mondak Animal Shelter

****We’re Hiring Immediate Cat Kennel Attendant****

At absolutely no fault of the cats… we are once again on the hunt for a Cat Kennel Attendant! One of our team members moved out of state (we’re blaming the oilfield, not the cats 😉).

Mondak is currently seeking a DEDICATED, hardworking, and DEPENDABLE individual who is able to multitask and genuinely cares about animal welfare.

Position Details:
Part-time
2 set days per week (same days each week)
1-2 Saturday per month
Shift: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (or until all tasks are completed)

Opportunity to pick up extra shifts when staff take time off

Daily Responsibilities Include:
Thorough cleaning and sanitizing of kennels, litter boxes, and common areas
Feeding and providing fresh water to all cats
Monitoring each cat’s health, behavior, and overall wellbeing
Administering basic care and reporting any concerns
Socializing cats when appropriate (some love attention, some… not so much 😅)
Handling cats with different personalities, including shy, nervous, or moody cats
Laundry (bedding, towels, etc.)
Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining a clean, odor-free environment
Stocking supplies and keeping the building organized
Assisting with intakes, or basic record keeping if needed

What We’re Looking For:
*****Dependability is an ABOSOLUTE MUST
Ability to work independently and stay on task
Comfortable working around all cat personalities (friendly to feisty!)
Strong cleaning skills and attention to detail
Willingness to jump in and help where needed
****Reliable Transportation

We are a small team and rely heavily on each other, so last-minute call-ins are very difficult for us to cover. Please only apply if you can commit to your scheduled days and are looking for a long-term employment. Its very hard to hire someone, get them trained in and then they leave a month later.

If you love cats, don’t mind a little mess, and take pride in keeping things clean and running smoothly we’d love to hear from you!

Happy Tail Adoptions!

We sure have been busy pairing up wonderful people with even better rescued dogs 🥰

Unfortunately last week after a short 48 hours one of our dogs was an adoption return, however everything works out and he was immediately adopted by a very loved local family who we know well through our boarding facility. So yes, the same dog has been posted twice.

We are so thankful for those who adopt.
