RIFFFYYYYYYYY 😍😭

I am so excited to share our weekend in Lawrence! 😭
Riffy absolutely blew me away and knocked it out of the park.
On Saturday, he went BOB/BOBOB under Kenneth Buxton and OH Group 2 under breeder judge Emily Fish.
On Sunday, he went BOB/BOBOH and VARIETY GROUP 3 under breeder judge Emily Fish and OH Group 3 under Donna Buxton.
Emily and her mom bred Riff's mom Medley so it meant a lot to me for him to be recognized with such honors.
He earned 45 OH points this weekend and earned his very first variety Group placement.
Good boy Riffy ❤️❤️❤️

Moving him up from novice to advanced was a big jump but he managed a Q and an 83 today. We have stuff to work on but I'm really proud of my baby dog ❤️ we went 4/4 on Qs this weekend which is more than I expected walking into it so I am thrilled! Good boy Riffy ❤️

Riff and I have been playing rally this weekend!

As usual it seems, he exceeded all of my expectations for the weekend.
Being his very first rally trial, I hoped I would get hints of focus and hoped for maybe a couple of Qs if we could swing it.

But he said "I can do better than that" and gave me 3 Qs and 3 placements and a new title all before our last day!
On Thurs & Fri under judge Randy Capsel he earned his first 2 Qs getting PERFECT SCORES?! Both 100s and a 2nd and 3rd place by time.
Today under Nancy Watson he got a respectable 95 and 4th place and his rally novice title.

This title now also qualifies him for his versatility award with the BCSA!
Pending submission and approval he is now

He is now my 3rd personal dog to earn versatility with the breed club.

The things I saw from him this weekend so far have me hoping I have found my next rally dog. All of my dogs have played, but since Marley I haven't had one who truly loves the game.
I've moved him up to advanced tomorrow to get rid of the stinking leash and see how he does.

Good boy Riffy ❤️

We made our 1 day in Topeka count!!
Riffy gets to add Regional Best of Breed Owner Handled to his resume picking up 10 more points towards his NOHS bronze.
We also went select in the regular breed ring against multiple dog specials for 4 more points towards his GCH bronze as well.

No love in OH groups but he showed great against a huge lineup of herding dogs and I’m glad we got to add on a few more OH points before we take a break until Oct!
