Itzy came to the clinic last week with a very important agenda:
1. Stay tiny
2. Look adorable
3. Avoid touching the floors
4. Let mom carry her like the princess she is!

We fully support this level of commitment to being purse-sized!

The IHAC clinic cats of old... Jade, Cupid & Hoss, have found their true final resting place at our new building. 🤍

Their ashes are now buried beneath a beautiful tree in our employee patio, a place where they can continue to be a part of the clinic they new and loved.

They were with us through good times and bad, through renovations and staffing changes, and through so many years of life at our old locations. They were part of IHAC in a way that’s hard to put into words, and it feels right that they will remain with us here, forevermore.

🩺 Different clinics. Same heart. ❤️

We may work in different veterinary clinics across Wichita, but there’s one thing we have in common: we care deeply about the animals in our community.

This year, local veterinary clinics are coming together as one big veterinary community to support the Kansas Humane Society and their mission to improve the lives of animals in our community.

We’re asking our clients, friends, families, and fellow animal lovers to join us in supporting this effort. Every donation—big or small—helps KHS continue providing shelter, medical care, adoption services, education, and so much more to animals who need a first (or second) chance.

No competition. No clinic versus clinic. Just a bunch of veterinary people who agree on one thing: animals are worth showing up for. 🐶🐱❤️

If you’d like to help us support KHS through Woofstock, you can donate here:

All boarding pets in our care are walked and loved on outside four times a day. Our exotic boarders, on the other hand, get a bit more specialized inside playtimes... including playing fetch with a dog toy that's now the BEST TOY EVER! :)

Three years ago, Dr. Hiskett joined our clinic… and somehow we’ve managed to keep her around ever since. 🩵

In those three years, she’s become such an important part of our team — caring for patients, taking care of their people, jumping into whatever the day throws at her, and bringing her amazing personality and perspective to the clinic every single day.

We’re so very lucky to have her on our team Here’s to many more years! 🥳

Many of you know and love Dr. Rypma, one of our veterinarians here at IHAC. We wanted to let our clients and friends know that she was very recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is undergoing surgery today... her battle officially beings.

She will be taking some much-needed time away from the clinic to recover, and we expect her to be out for 4–6+ weeks. Pending all subsequent tests will determine what her path looks like after that. For right now, she (and we) are taking things one step at a time.

Dr. Rypma is an incredible veterinarian, a wonderful teammate, and a person of deep faith. We know she has a lot ahead of her, and we also know she has a whole lot of people in her corner.

Our IHAC team is already showing our support by wearing teal ribbon wristbands and lapel pins in honor of ovarian cancer awareness—and, more importantly, in honor of her. 💙

Would you please join us in lifting her up in prayer, sending good thoughts, or simply offering her words that remind her she has a huge army of people standing beside her and cheering her on.

Dr. Rypma, we've got you... because you've got this! One day, one step, one prayer at a time. 💙🙏
