Training is available either on site or travelling to you within a reasonable distance.

Took client horse Chapo to the obstacle course this week. We had a wonderful morning conquering our fears. He was very happy to go over various bridges, the teeter totter, and even the mattress. We even did a little log drag and bag with bottles in it. Things blowing in the wind however were a different story. But we came, we saw, and we left better than we arrived.

Left Barrel First had another fantastic evening at the Haysville Saddle Club last Saturday.

I finally got to ride in a show again 🎉
My concussion symptoms are finally allowing me back in the saddle and I brought client horse Chapo with me to the show. He and I had a great evening participating in all the events even if he started out scared of the barrels. We even managed to place in a couple of the events despite my jokes about being the slowest flash you have ever seen!

Skylar came for her second show and showed Flicka in a competitive 10-13 age group to two 2nd places, a 3rd and a 4th. I told her we are getting some color for her ribbon wall!

And last but certainly not least my mom showed us all how it was done with a clean sweep and the highpoint in the Jack Benny age group. Her and Flicka also managed to get their personal best barrel time of a 22.7!

Left Barrel First had an incredible show last night at the Haysville Saddle Club.

Mindy and Flicka had an awesome show bringing home 1 first place, 3 seconds, and the reserve highpoint medal. So far they are crushing their season! Great way to spend Mother's day weekend.

Skylar came for her very first horse show last night and absolutely blew us all away. This kid has been working so hard in her lessons with Flicka and it paid off. She won 3 events, got second in one, and TOOK HOME HIGHPOINT her very first show!!! I'm so unbelievably proud.

Huge thanks of course to Flicka who is the real star of our show and LBF. She definitely was paid well in treats by the end of the night.

I was so blessed to be able to attend the Pinto Horse Association Convention last Saturday. While there I accepted Pepper aka Legacy of Bob's 2025 Pinto Horse of the Year award. He was recognized for being the top Open Pole Bending horse. Could not have been a more perfect capstone for his career. It is always hard retiring a horse especially one as great as he is but he blessed me and others with so many opportunities and awards. Now it's time to spoil him.

A couple of good saddling experiences done on Friday

Whiskey (grey) is here for a restart and had his first saddling with me. Took it like a champ and boy does he look good in tack. 😍😍😍😍

Lucas (bay) tried out the back cinch for the first time. After some initial hesitation he settled surprisingly well into it. Continually working towards that first official ride. 💪
