🐾 Holiday Schedule Announcement! 🎄✨

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up ahead of time that I (Laura) will be gone/off from December 14th through January 4th. ❤️

I wanted to let you all know early so you have plenty of time to plan ahead and get your fur babies scheduled for their Christmas/holiday grooming appointments! 🎅🐶🐾

While I’m away, Helen will still be here and available to help with appointments. You can always text Helen at 316-202-5285 to get your fur baby scheduled. 📱🐕

📢 A Little Clarification About Our After-Hours Grooming Appointments

Our regular business hours are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. We normally schedule grooming appointments between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM so we have enough time to complete all grooms and finish by our regular closing time.

We typically do not schedule appointments after 12:00 PM. When we refer to after-hours grooming appointments, we mean appointments scheduled between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

These later appointments are available for customers who need more flexibility and cannot make it during our regular appointment times. A $25 after-hours fee will apply per dog.

Every dog loves running through grass—but there’s one type you should always watch out for: foxtails.

These wild grasses may look harmless, but they have sharp, barbed seeds designed to burrow into the ground… and they can do the same to your dog. Once attached, they can work their way through skin and into the body, causing serious injury, infection, and even life-threatening complications.

Foxtails most often get stuck in a dog’s nose, ears, paws, eyes, or underbelly—and long-haired dogs are especially at risk because they’re harder to spot.

🚨 Warning signs to watch for:
• Sudden, excessive sneezing
• Head shaking or pawing at ears/eyes
• Limping or licking paws
• Swelling, lumps, or discharge

If a foxtail gets embedded, it won’t break down on its own—it can keep traveling through the body and usually requires a vet to remove it safely.

They’re commonly found in fields, trails, roadsides, and even some lawns, especially when the grass is dry and brittle.

Best way to protect your dog:
Avoid areas with foxtails when possible, and always do a quick check after walks—especially between toes, around ears, and near the eyes and nose.

A quick inspection can make all the difference.

A little awareness goes a long way—so our fur kids can safely enjoy every run, sniff, and adventure the outdoors has to offer.

I woke up this morning to multiple messages and voicemails from people asking about us taking over a business called Gilded Paw in Haysville. This information is completely false, and this is the first time I have heard anything about it.

Please be aware that there appears to be misinformation being shared, and we are NOT taking over Gilded Paw.

I sincerely apologize for any confusion, inconvenience, or concern this may have caused. We understand how frustrating misinformation can be, and we wanted to clear things up as quickly as possible.

While we are located quite a distance from Haysville, if you are looking for grooming services and are willing to make the drive, we would be happy to get your pet scheduled and added to our books.

Thank you to everyone who reached out and brought this to our attention. We truly appreciate your support and understanding.
