🚨 K9 DESIGN MOBILE GROOMING — IMPORTANT NEWS! 🚨

We have an important update regarding our mobile grooming services only. This does NOT apply to our salon.

Due to several recent injuries among our grooming staff from working with oversized, overweight, and dogs that are unable to stand or safely enter the van, we are lowering our weight limits to protect the safety and longevity of our groomers. ❤️

This new policy applies to NEW clients and clients we have not seen in several months. It does NOT apply to our existing clients who are currently on a recurring 5-week schedule.

🐾 OUR NEW MOBILE GROOMING GUIDELINES:

• We are no longer accepting dogs over 70 lbs for new or returning clients who are not currently on our recurring schedule.

• Dogs must be able to walk into the van with some assistance from the groomer.

• We cannot lift or carry dogs that are unable to walk or safely get into the van.

• We are no longer accepting new or returning doodles over 40 lbs unless they are already an established client on our recurring schedule.

• We are also no longer able to service 80–120 lb Labs, Great Pyrenees, Golden Retrievers, or other oversized breeds that exceed our new weight limit.

❤️ PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHY WE ARE MAKING THIS CHANGE

We know it’s fun to experiment with breeding and creating these oversized dogs, and we absolutely love dogs of all shapes and sizes. But the reality is that these larger breeds are taking a physical toll on our groomers.

We are seeing more and more of our groomers needing to visit chiropractors and physical therapy because of the physical demands involved with safely grooming oversized and overweight dogs.

Grooming is our career. We want to be able to continue doing what we love for many, many years. We cannot do that if our groomers are constantly getting injured or damaging their backs, shoulders, knees and joints.

We are groomers not bodybuilders! 😂

We LOVE our Bernedoodles, Sheepadoodles, Goldendoodles and all of those big, beautiful doodles! 🐶❤️ But as much as we love them, we have to put the health and safety of our team first.

🐶 A NOTE ABOUT YOUR DOG’S WEIGHT

We also strongly encourage our clients to consider their dog’s weight when it comes to both their health and grooming safety.

If your dog is overweight, please talk with your veterinarian about putting them on an appropriate diet and weight-management plan. Maintaining a healthy weight can make a huge difference in your dog’s mobility, overall health and ability to safely participate in grooming.

If your dog is currently on our recurring 5-week mobile schedule, don’t worry we will continue to see you as scheduled. ❤️If you are unsure please reach out to 316-322-5024

For everyone else, we sincerely apologize if we are no longer able to accommodate your dog. This decision was not made lightly, but we feel it is necessary to protect our groomers and allow us to continue doing what we love.

✨ We are still welcoming doodles under 40 lbs and other breeds under 70 lbs that are able to safely walk into the van with a little assistance.

Thank you for understanding, supporting our team, and helping us keep our groomers safe! 🐾❤️
