Doug and Cooper saw something extraordinary in this c**t from the very first time they saw him- we are proud to have a small part in this horses storied career!

Doug Carpenter first spotted GOLDEN COINS as a baby in a pasture at Silver Spurs Equine. He recognized something special in the c**t’s strength, mind, and presence and recommended him to Cooper Smith, who purchased him on Doug’s advice. GOLDEN COINS was among the last horses Doug selected before his passing in 2020.

Cooper later named the c**t Golden Coins in Doug’s honor. After a successful horse sale, Doug was known to purchase a gold coin... an investment in something of lasting value. The name became a personal tribute to his judgment and friendship.

Years later, that c**t became a record-breaking champion with Kole Price. "Doug recognized the promise long before the world witnessed the performance."
And the story just keeps getting better.

She brought home $47,654 in the average, along with another $2,500 for winning the first round.
