What I LOVE about flowers:💝

1. They are a beautiful reminder of God’s creation.🤍🌸

If He puts that much detail into a flower imagine how thoughtfully He created you!

2. They keep us present in the moment.🤍🌸

Flowers are not meant to last. They teach us to enjoy the brevity of life.

3. They hold memories.🤍🌸

It’s hard not to look at a flower type or color and not think of a loved one, a wedding day, grandma’s garden…

God, indeed, is using your work in a very wonderful way in my life. I thank you for being obedient to his calling. ❤️ it is blessing me.”

Happy Monday!
How did you spend your weekend?

Ours was full of painting, fishing, and puppy napping ☺️

I was duped. I mean truly deceived by this perfectly positioned plant.

I left this trellis out over winter in my perennial garden. When something started to come up this spring directly under it I thought that I must have planted something there in the fall but, could not for the life of me, remember what that would be.

As it grew I thought it resembled a Shasta daisy so I was pleasantly happy with my (forgotten) planting or my luck with a volunteer plant.

Then as it started flowering, I realized what was growing was an invasive common wild w**d!

But because it was positioned correctly
and resembled a desirable plant,
I assumed it must belong there.

Duped.

The Bible warns us about this too.
(Not about plants in our garden- but about false prophets)

How do we guard ourselves from deception in this world?

1. Spend time in the Word.
Know the Word so that you can decipher what is God’s characteristics and what is not.

2. Be alert.
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8

3. Be discerning.
The enemy will attempt to closely resemble what is familiar.

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
