🐾 Meet Binky! 💕 This adorable 8-month-old Bulldog came to AERA for brachycephalic upper airway surgery.

Brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs can have narrowed airways that make breathing more difficult, especially as they grow. Binky’s surgery was performed to help improve her airway and make breathing easier.

She did great with our team and is now on her way to breathing a little easier! 🐶❤️

We’re so happy to have been part of Binky’s care and can’t wait to see this sweet girl continue to grow!

🍭🐾 Happy National Lollipop Day! 🐾🍭

A few weeks ago, we celebrated National Lollipop Day with one of our favorite traditions! 🍭💕

Each year, our team gets lollipops with personalized messages from other coworkers — some are funny, some are sweet, and some are exactly the little boost someone needed that day. 🥰

It’s a simple tradition, but one we look forward to every year. It’s a fun way to recognize each other, spread a little positivity, and celebrate the people who make our team so special. 💙

A little sugar, a lot of laughs, and plenty of appreciation for one another! 🐾🍭

❄️ What to do before heading to the emergency hospital

If you think your pet is overheating, begin cooling their belly and feet with cool (not ice-cold) water and seek veterinary care immediately.

We're proud to support our veterinary community through continuing education and collaboration. 🩺✨

Recently, our Medical Director, Dr. Marco Ruffato, visited Murray Hill Veterinary Associates to present a dinner lecture on commonly used anesthetic drugs in small animal medicine. The session explored key anesthetic drug categories, their clinical applications, and encouraged thoughtful discussion through an interactive Q&A.

At AERA, we're committed to sharing specialty expertise and fostering collaboration through educational events—both within our hospital and alongside our local veterinary community. Thank you to Murray Hill Veterinary Associates for the opportunity to connect and learn together!

Good news for puppy River! 🐾❤️

River came to see us at AERA because he was vomiting, and his regular vet was worried he might have eaten some fabric (like a sock or blanket).

He stayed the night with us for some extra care and IV fluids. We did some more X-rays and an ultrasound to look inside his belly. The best news? We found no blockages at all! 🎉

He felt great all night, and in the morning he happily ate breakfast twice without any tummy trouble. Since he was doing so well, River got to go home! Good boy, River!

Jim Bob 1, Foreign Body 0! 🏆

Jim Bob came to AERA presenting with lethargy, vomiting, and a lack of appetite. After some X-rays, an ultrasound, and an overnight stay on fluid therapy, this tough guy managed to pass the foreign object all on his own, saving him a trip to the operating room!

He’s officially discharged, feeling great, and heading home. Good boy, Jim Bob! 🐶❤️
