Meet David...

I grew up here in West Branch as a dairy farmer. My sister and I rescued a few horses growing up which sparked my desire to ride. When I met Alissa, I was able to learn all about the care and management that goes in to having horses in addition to the riding. I have ridden her horses for years. Recently I have been riding under the guidance of Levi Beechy to learn about starting young horses as well as to dive into my dream of ranch riding and cow work. Levi has been a truly outstanding mentor and I am soaking up as much as I can from him in these last few weeks before he heads to Oklahoma. I am comfortable riding whatever horse that comes my way and have been blessed to ride so many at our ranch lately.

Meet Alissa...

I grew up in 4H riding Hunter/Jumper and Dressage. My coach was amazing and encouraged us to seek out as much education as we could, so I did. I took as many lessons and attended as many clinics as I could. In recent years, I have been exploring western diciplines with my favorites so far being Western Dressage and Ranch Reining. I train horses from my own spin on natural horsemanship using bits and pieces from the many trainers I have worked with and watched over the years. I value the softness in my method with the end goal of being to create quiet well-rounded horses who can go on to do any dicipline. I am a full time Registered Nurse but have continued to train horses and give riding lessons on the side. With the puchase of this ranch, my biggest wish is to spend more time training and coaching as that is my true passion.

We are excited to announce the purchase of Levi and Jenny Beechy's horse boarding facility in West Branch, MI. While our hearts are heavy to see them go, we wish them endless blessings as they chase their dreams in Oklahoma. We have re-named the facility DAG Ranch which will continue to be a place of equestrian activities. Beginning October 1st 2026 our services will include horse boarding, lessons, training, and haul-in riding. This opportunity is a blessing from God and we are very thankful to share this gift with our community.
