North Florida Animal Rescue Inc. & The Anthea Duron Adoption Center, a registered 501c3 organization located on 108 acres in Wellborn, Florida, is dedicated to serving the community by providing medical care and comfort for dogs, cats, and horses in need. In keeping with Anthea Duron’s vision, we believe that we have an ethical and moral responsibility to ensure that every animal in our care is treated humanely, compassionately, and with respect. We do not euthanize animals at our facility for space issues or poor health unless they are suffering, or have a terminal or untreatable illness. We do not take the decision to euthanize an animal lightly, therefore the decision to euthanize an animal in our care is made by a certified veterinarian. North Florida Animal Rescue is a limited admission rescue, and the majority of our adoptable animals come from other Animal Service facilities, or other outside rescues who need our help. Duron’s dream of a world where all animals are loved and cared for and on their way to forever homes.

💔 Two Sweet Babies Who Are Struggling With Shelter Life 💔

We have two very sweet souls at the shelter who are having a really hard time adjusting to kennel life, and we would love to see them find loving homes where they can finally relax and be themselves. 🐾❤️

🐶 Meet Ozzy!

Ozzy was adopted from us as a puppy and, unfortunately, was brought back to us as an adult. When he returned, he wasn’t in the best shape, and now he is struggling with being back in a kennel. He is becoming stressed and is just not happy in the shelter environment.

Ozzy does great with other dogs! He can be a little nervous around new people, especially men, but give him a few treats and a little patience, and he warms up surprisingly quickly. Once he trusts you, he is an absolute sweetheart. 🥹❤️

🐱 And then there’s our sweet Duchess!

Duchess came to us as a mama with her three kittens. She can be a little nervous at first, but once she feels comfortable, she opens up and shows you what a loving, sweet girl she really is. ❤️

Unfortunately, the busy shelter cat rooms just don't seem to be the right environment for her. Duchess would really benefit from a loving, possibly quiet home where she can decompress and feel safe.

✨ Both Ozzy & Duchess have sponsored adoption fees! ✨

They are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

These two deserve the chance to experience what it feels like to be someone's beloved pet again. They don't need a perfect home they just need someone willing to give them patience, love, and a chance. ❤️

Today, Lexi and Brutus got some much-needed pampering with really good baths, and just look at these two! 😍 They are looking SO good and are more than ready to find their furever homes! 🏡🐶

We’ve had SO much to celebrate lately! 🥹🏡❤️

Our sweet kitty Skunk found his forever home, and then our amazing boys and girls Atom and Sabrina were adopted too! 🐶🐱🎉

All three of these special babies have found loving, wonderful families, and we truly could not be happier for them. Watching our shelter babies go from waiting in kennels to snuggling in their very own homes is what it’s all about. 🥰

A HUGE thank you to everyone who chose to adopt and give these babies the loving futures they deserve. ❤️

Good afternoon everyone, we recently got a call about a hoarding case in Texas and were asked to fly out and help with evaluating and prepping dogs for their transfers into rescues and shelters. We understand this is late notice and does cut into the first Sunday of Sundays for the strays event but we couldn't say no to helping with the hoarding case. We have rescheduled all current sessions that will be effected by this project.

Firstly, we would like to sincerely thank everybody who already had sessions booked during this time frame. Every single one of you have been incredibly understanding and supportive of our decision to take time away from the sessions to help with the hoarding case.

We want to thank everyone for the understanding, and we look forward to jumping back into sessions as soon as we touch back down in Florida!

Today was a very special day for our beautiful Mattie! 🥹 She found her forever family and gets to live the farm life she deserves, with her new family all to herself! 🏡🐴💕

We couldn’t be happier for this sweet girl and can’t wait to see all the adventures she gets to have with her new family. She truly hit the jackpot! 🥰

🐾💙 Meet Ralph & Felix! 💙🐾

Our newest little arrivals from Suwannee County Animal Control are ready to steal some hearts! 🥰
Looking for a young puppy to add to your family? Ralph and Felix are two adorable mixed-breed boys who are around 8 weeks old and as sweet as can be! 🐶🐶

We aren’t sure what breeds they are, so we can’t say exactly how big they’ll get. Judging by those paws, though, we think they could grow into medium-to-large-sized boys! 🐾

Both puppies are:
✨ Around 8 weeks old
✨ Up to date on vaccines
✨ Sweet and playful
✨ Will be neutered and microchipped soon

These boys are just getting started in life, and we would love to see them grow up in loving forever homes! ❤️
