The Home For Friendless Animals is a 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit 'no kill' animal sanctuary that provides a healthy and loving refuge for stray, abandoned, and abused dogs and cats. Rescue is our favorite breed!! All HFA animals are spay/neutered and vaccinated. With the vet's guidance, a health plan is established for each animal. Some require medication, or emotional comfort. Others may need surgery o

r therapy to improve their quality of life. When the animal is deemed 'Adoptable' or ready to Foster they will be listed on this page, and Petfinder.org. HFA incorporated in 1943 and opened our original facilities just west of Bridgeport, Indiana. In May 1960 the facilities relocated to the banks of the White River in Noblesville, Indiana. During the fall of 2002, HFA again relocated to a seventy-three acre farm in Montgomery County south of Waynetown, Indiana.

Lillie is a very shy cat. She is around 4 years old. She needs a home where she can do her own thing. She is litter trained, fine with other animals and loves to be petted but it has to be her idea. She doesn't like to be picked up and gets very frightened. She likes to lay in the window and watch the birds. She is not a cuddly cat. She will jump up in you lap if you are quiet. This is Harold, what a good boy 😊 the dogs are scared of him , he likes to slap them when they walk by. He is an old boy, around 12 or 13. He is FIV positive, he plays with the other cats, loves to watch the birds out the window. As you can see from the pictures he was in bad shape before coming to HFA. He is beautiful now. He has an old injury in his right eye but it is healed. He is FIV positive, do your research, he is fine to live with other cats. he is such a good boy. He doesn't seem to mind the dogs. This little girl needs a foster or forever home. Her owner died and his friend is unable to care for her. She is a year old, beagle mix, housebroken unless left for a long time. She is fine with dogs but likes to be in charge. She chases cats but has never hurt one. This is a courtesy post. If you are interested let me know and I will put you in touch with the person that has her. She needs to be spayed and get her shots. She needs to be with somebody who either has a fence in yard or likes to go for walks.Because she does need lots of exercise.
