On May 27, 2014, I took this photo, never knowing that just two weeks later, our world would change forever.
Randy was diagnosed with LCNEC — Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive high-grade bladder cancer. We were devastated when the original prognosis gave him only seven months to live.
But God had other plans.
Determined to fight, I searched for another opinion and found Dr. Hadley Wyre at KU Med in Kansas City. Through incredible medical care, unwavering faith, and the grace of God, Randy survived what once felt impossible.
Today, 12 years later, Randy is cancer free.
There are no words strong enough to express the gratitude we carry in our hearts — for every prayer, every doctor, every nurse, every friend, and every moment we were given together.
What once looked like hopelessness became a testimony of faith, perseverance, miracles, and second chances.
