Our gentleman, sweetheart, good boy, Dillard was just returned. He is the one who has a tiny hobble in his wobble. It's a permanent thing, but he is happy, good with all others and such a smart boy.

Dillard's adopters returned him because their landlord changed their mind about them having a bigger boy.

Dillard is 52 lbs and around 2-3 years old. He is tall, thin and well mannered. Right now he is in one of our tiny kennels in the front because he has no place to go.

Please consider saving this good boy who is so tolerant of other dogs and loving people. He needs a place with a fenced yard or somewhere he can roam with his family.

We are located at 319 Davidson Drive and are open 10 AM until 5 PM. Please consider saving him or one of our other pups now. We are over capacity and having to make decisions. It's heartbreaking to all of us. Please come make a difference in a dog's life. They will certainly make a difference in yours.

We’ve heard all about it…how black dogs take longer to adopt. We’ve even seen it from time to time. But…when the dog is as good as gold and stop-and-turn-around beautiful, coat color doesn’t matter a bit. This is Janice the lab mix, and she’s licorice black from head to tail to toe. Her personality is sweet and fun. She loves to play, especially with toys and balls. Janice also enjoys walks, hikes, and pretty much anything else you want to do. The more time you spend with her, the better she likes it. Janice is great with people, other dogs, and cats. She about 2 years old, and at just 39 pounds, is quite small for a lab mix. This beauty might not be someone’s best girl right now, but she’s going to be very soon.

She is a cutie of the highest level! Winnie is also a terrier mix…most likely Cairn or Skye or both. She’s not just busy…she’s terrier puppy busy. Winnie is 1 year old and weighs 20 pounds. She might add a couple more, but that’s about it. She has a long body, short legs, and a shaggy coat that will shed some but not much. Winnie is sweet, friendly and drawn to people. She also does well with other dogs and oddly enough, cats.

Whirlwind Winnie arrived with zero manners and no clue about polite behavior. But don’t worry, Winnie‘s schooling is already underway. When she graduates, Winnie will fit best in an active home that understands her need for regular and sustained exercise. A daily walk/run to Jupiter and back followed by a rousing game of chase or fetch would be perfect. Terriers are incredibly smart and loving dogs and marvelous sidekicks…but they’re still terriers with terrier minds!

And now, your moment of beauty. Courtesy of Reddick, our first afghan hound mix. Even though he’s too thin and his coat need to grow out, Reddick is still man time idol handsome. He’s about 18 months old. No weight on him yet, but he need to add some pounds. He’s a sweet boy, but he doesn’t like to be picked up. We can respect that. And with his longer-than-the-Ponchartrain-Causeway legs, most folks wouldn’t even try to pick him up. Reddick is something special. And some of us (mostly me) could spend hours just looking at him.
