FAT CAT RESCUE is a 501C3 licensed rescue for all types of animals who are lucky enough to come through our doors. We have received our 501C3 non-profit tax status and now all donations are tax deductible. When cats come to us they may be sick and skinny, but by the time we've loved them up they have become Fat Cats with healthy bodies, higher self esteem, greater trust in humans and a joy of livi

ng they haven't experienced in a long time if ever. So when we call a cat "Fat" we mean healthy and happy in every way possible.

Meet Tita and her little cheese board! 🧀

Tita was caring for her four babies in a shed a few homes away from the place where someone had been feeding her. Now this family is safe, healthy, and loving indoor life.

Mama Tita is a confident, laid-back black beauty who greets her foster family at the door and starts asking for pets within seconds. She has a wonderful purr, plenty to say about mealtime, and is learning to enjoy cuddling on the couch.

Her kittens were born around August 1 so available for pre-adoption as indicated:

Brie is a confident gray girl who loves playing, sitting in laps, and falling asleep with her people. She is pending adoption.

Havarti is an energetic gray boy who loves to roughhouse, greet his foster family, and soak up attention. He is pending adoption.

Mozzarella is a gentle tabby boy who plays nicely with everyone and loves a good cuddle. He is pending adoption.

Colby Jack is a sweet tuxedo boy with a quieter nature. He takes care of his siblings, loves to cuddle, and would enjoy a home with a feline friend. He would make the perfect reading buddy.

Their foster says their personalities are already incredible and cannot say enough good things about these sweet babies. Now Tita and Colby Jack are waiting for families of their own.

Meet the Jupiter Moons! 🪐

Three tiny new arrivals have landed at Fat Cat Rescue, and their names come straight from Jupiter’s impressive collection of moons.

Meet Fafnir, Io, and Europa, born July 16, 2026:

• Fafnir, orange male
• Io, black female
• Europa, black male

They are still young, so we’re getting to know their individual personalities as they grow. We’ll share more about each of them along the way.

For now, if you’ve been waiting for a little star to enter your life, perhaps you should be looking for a moon instead. 🌙

🤍 MEET OPAL 🤍

We recently introduced you to Diamond, and now it's time to meet her equally beautiful sister, Opal!

Opal is six months old, born in February 2026, and just like Diamond, she is completely white. These two gorgeous girls are sisters, but they are not bonded and are each looking for a forever home of their own.

Opal is still a young girl with lots of growing, playing, exploring, and loving ahead of her. We would love to see her spend all of those years with a family who adores her.

MEET BARRY 🧡

Barry is a handsome orange and white boy who showed up outside the home of our volunteer and event coordinator, Donna, in Wadsworth several weeks ago.

Donna spent weeks actively trying to find his owner, posting online, checking locally and asking around. No one has come forward.

Meanwhile, Barry has been doing his best to convince Donna that he belongs inside.

And we mean REALLY trying.

This sweet boy hangs around her home throughout the day, comes looking for attention and regularly tries to follow her inside. Most recently, he followed Donna right into the greenhouse because apparently wherever Donna goes, Barry thinks he should go too.

Here’s what we know about him:
• VERY friendly and affectionate
• Loves attention and being around people
• Appears fairly young
• Gets along well with Donna’s other outdoor feral cat (although the feeling is not quite mutual)
• Not currently neutered
• Not microchipped
• Will be vetted and neutered soon
• Seems more than ready to trade outdoor life for a home of his own

Donna has a soft spot for cats who need a little help. She adopted her sweet one-eyed kitty from Fat Cat Rescue, and a few friendly ferals have found their way into her home over the years. But the inn is officially full.

So now it’s Barry’s turn to find his person.

Barry is being shared as a COURTESY POST. He is not currently in the care of Fat Cat Rescue, but adoption applications for Barry will go through Fat Cat Rescue.

A special Eagle Scout project has officially landed at Fat Cat Rescue!

Earlier this spring, Ben reached out to us with a plan for his Eagle Scout project: build cat feeding stations to help us care for the outdoor cats in our feral yard.

After months of planning, fundraising, building, and a whole lot of teamwork, Ben completed his project and delivered the finished feeding stations to Fat Cat. We’re sharing some photos from the process and we wanted you to hear about the experience from Ben himself:

“Dear Fat Cat Followers,

Earlier this spring I posted that I would be making cat feeding stations for Fat Cat as my Eagle Scout project. Today, I get to update you that with the help of 27 fellow scouts, adult leaders and friends, we were able to get all pieces cut out and assembled over the course of 2 weekends. All total, 260 hours were spent on this project and I have learned a lot along the way. I wanted to say thank you again all for your generous donations, this wouldn't be possible without any of you! I cannot tell you how happy I am, the sight of seeing lines of cat feeding stations was truly awesome to me.

Ben, we hope you know how much this project means to us.

These feeding stations will help protect food from the weather and give our caretakers a better way to feed community cats. The work you and your team put in will continue helping cats long after you have had your Eagle Court of Honor.

And 260 hours with 27 Scouts, leaders, and friends behind you? What a blessing and an accomplishment!

THREE FLUFFY NEW FACES!

Meet Iris, Eva, and Echo, three beautiful long-haired kittens born July 7, 2026 and ready to start looking for their forever families!

🐾 Iris is a female with a mostly white coat, adorable black spots, and lots of fluff.

🐾 Eva is a female long-haired tabby with beautiful white markings.

🐾 Echo is a male long-haired tabby and white with a seriously handsome little face.

Each kitten is available for adoption individually, so they do not need to go home together, but I am sure they would love to go home with a friend.

If you have room in your home for a fluffy new family member (or two or three), take a look at Iris, Eva, and Echo and submit an adoption application.

Thank you to Bryson in celebrating his birthday this year ( for third year ) with donations for our cats instead of gifts for himself. We are beyond grateful for your generosity as well as all your supporters. Friend Leo made online payment of $20 for food. Friend Fox and another friend gave $40 cash to purchase food. Another friend purchased a bag off our website to support our cats.
