Even though we closed intake we are committed to the dogs still in our care. We have been struggling to get essentials lately. We are down to our last bag of food and treats. We have been using Sportmix from Tractor supply. The high protein red bag. No donation too small. You can also drop off at Belchers Jewelry in Lanett or we can come pick up. Thanks for your continued support.

We are running low on our supplies. We are down to our last bag of dog food. We still have a few dogs in our care. Please consider helping us.

Over a year ago we made a very heart wrenching decision to stop intakes. We have said no more times than I can count. We did however make exceptions to get 4 of babies off the street. One of those dogs was on the same street we live on.
We have been successful in finding homes or transport for all those except 2. We made an exception today.
We have no volunteers and very limited funds. We basically come out of our founders pockets just to pay the bills and food. All that being said we offered to house the GSD from Krystal TEMPORARILY and allow her a safe warm space for decompressing. We will have her vetted in a few days. We can't say enough about the Valley area community and. Valley PD. Many many people helped this dog. Food, crates, blankets, tarps etc to keep her fed, warm and dry.
Meagan Ford and Officer Longshore stayed diligent and where finally able to get her.
Donations are already coming in. Even Woof Ave came from Auburn to help.
I am unable to tag ALL the kind souls.
The dog will be fed, vetted and allowed to settle before she will be available. As you all figure there is already a growing list of potential homes for her. We will update as we can. She is safe and warm. ❤️

UPDATE apparently this poor dog has been out her a WEEK, yet nobody has done anything. How awful and sad. Humans are indeed cruel.
We will never understand this level of heartlessness.
Somebody dumped their dog and their crate. Not sure if this poor soul died during the cold or before. Regardless it was the owner's last duty to either bury or cremate. We continue to lose faith in humanity. This is absolutely unexcusable and wrong.
