There is never a good time to say goodbye and unfortunately that time has come for someone who has touched and impacted the lives of so many around her. We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Jean “Jeanie” Brazelton, the famous “Peach Lady”, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.

She has been a fixture at the bottom of Gates Canyon for over 70 years. After marrying rancher and farmer, Eugene Brazelton, Jean leaned into farm life with her husband, raising four children, canning fruits, baking peach cobblers and maintaining prolific gardens that nourished her family.

Though all of this may sound like a full busy life, Jean impressively pursued her Associates Degree in Agricultural Business at Solano College and then worked as a satistical enumerator for the National Association of States Departments of Agriculture. She became know as the woman you wanted to chase down the farmers for needed information.

Where many may know her from are the years and years she spent selling peaches and fruit from the farm stand at the edge of town. Once a single red wooden table and overhang, she spent countless hours packing and selling fruit, greeting and chatting with customers and friends who made the drive out to the ranch for the sweet summer treats.

She will forever be missed and the blue house with the fruit stand beneath the Vaca Mountains will never be the same without her presence.

Grandma Jean, rest peacefully. We will miss you ❤️

Jean was passionate about local organizations, so in lieu of flowers or cards, we ask you to consider donating to some of Jean’s favorite organizations.

For Valentine’s Day 2020, William brought me gorgeous flowers…straight from the orchard! 💕

In 2023 I read a magazine article about cut blossoms, tore out the page, and tacked it to our vision board.

Here we are in 2026 with the bloom just beginning and our vision board becoming a reality! ✨

And we want to share this with YOU!

The fruit stand will open this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (2/12- 2/14) for you to pick up something unique for your special someone, your Galentines girlies, or to treat yourself!

We will offer the following:
1. Cut blossom stems with vase $20
2. A succulent smorgasbord with vase $20
3. Grab and go cut blossom stems, no vase $15

We want you to enjoy your blossoms, especially with the coming rain, so most blooms will be closed upon pickup. Give it a couple of days and your blossoms will open up to unveil their beauty, like in Picture 5! 🌸

We hope you’re as excited as we are, and look forward to seeing you later this week!!

p.s. picture 6 are the beautiful flowers William brought me in 20’❤️

We hope you enjoyed this gorgeous weekend! 🐦 ☀️ 🌱

We will be closed the next few days while we catch up on some ranch and non-ranch things.

We hope to re-open later this week but it all depends on how the fruit is doing and how much of a crop is still on the trees. I’ll update Wednesday evening.

Thank you! 🍊
