Not long ago, we introduced you to Lauri, who came back to us after 4 years when her owner fell ill. We mentioned that she came in with a Sister, and that was Abby. Unlike Lauri, who took a bit to settle in to new dogs being around (causing them to be moved to separate fosters), Abby settled right in to the new pack. She is a bit more mellow and easygoing right from the start, and didn't mind her old housemate being moved at all. In fact, she seems to enjoy her new company even better. Here is a bit more about her:

Abby is a beautiful and loving senior girl looking for her forever home. She is the best at snuggling, always happy to be next to her person or sleeping peacefully somewhere nearby where she can curl up for a nap. She loves car rides, short walks as she has a little bit of arthritis in her hip, however, it does not stop her from doing stairs or exploring the backyard only to run back in for a treat. Abby is a smart girl who picks up the routines of the house quickly and is p*e pad trained. She gets along with other dogs after a proper introduction, but would also love to be the only dog and soak up all the cuddles. Abby would do best in a quiet home where napping can be the priority with comfy blankets and her favorite person nearby. Meet Chip: Daisy Mae’s partner-in-crime and certified heart-stealer. 🍟✨

If you thought his sister had big personality, wait until you meet Chip! He is roughly 80% ears, 20% puppy dog eyes, and 100% ready to melt everyone who looks at him. While Daisy Mae is out body-slamming 100 lb dogs, Chip is perfecting the "I'm just a tiny baby who deserves treats" look from the comfort of his plush bed.

He has officially touched down at NBS Animal Rescue, and his schedule currently consists of:

Introducing Daisy Mae: 4 pounds of pure boss energy. 🐾✨

Big foster brother weighs in at 100 lbs and is currently recalibrating his entire operating system to play without causing a minor seismic event. Meanwhile, Daisy Mae is running the household like she pays the mortgage.

🐾❤️ HAPPY TAILS: BENNY FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! ❤️🐾

Sometimes, the greatest act of love is knowing when to let go.

Sweet Benny came to NBS Animal Rescue when his very kind and loving owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him. Life circumstances had changed, and although Benny was deeply loved, his owner could no longer provide the care he deserved. It was a selfless decision made with Benny's happiness and well-being at heart. ❤️

And as fate would have it, Benny's next chapter turned out to be something truly special!

Benny found his forever home with a family who had previously adopted from NBS Animal Rescue! We absolutely LOVE when our adopters come back to welcome another rescue into their hearts and homes.

As you can see from this wonderful family photo, Benny has settled right in. He's surrounded by love, has a furry companion, and we're happy to report that he is being SPOILED ROTTEN! 🐶💕

To Benny's original owner: Thank you for trusting us with someone so precious to you. We know that decision wasn't easy, and we hope knowing how loved and happy Benny is today brings you peace.

So we previously introduced you to Nala, who had tons of interest, but already had a home lined up by the time she was cleared from all of her vetting. Well let us introduce you to Link! He is not quite available yet as he is healing from his neuter, but this is his official debut to the online world! He came to us completely matted, feeling kinda like a stinky football pad, due to pretty severe neglect. He also had to be completely shaved down, and now feels like a completely new dog! He is only about a year old, 10lbs, and some sort of poodle, maltese, terrier mix. He has a long body and snout, is all white, and will be a non-shedder.

He is still in quite the puppy stage since he had not had the greatest beginning to his life. He runs and gets the zoomies with other dogs, can get a little mouthy during play, but is easily corrected. He does seem to do great with potty training while you are home and letting him out on a schedule, but can only hold it for 3-4 hours if crated. He can't quite be trusted to be left out when home alone, as he has quite the appetite and will happily search your trash cans for extra scraps if he gets the chance.

He is a fantastic companion, and loves being with his people and another dog. He can be silly and playful, but is equally happy and content to be held and snuggle his people. He would do best in a fenced yard with someone who can be home enough to get him on a regular schedule and maintain his potty training.
