Happy Veterinary Technician Week! We celebrated tech week early this year with Dr. Socks making breakfast one day, Dr Van de Grift making her annual Mexican fare, lunch from one of our favorite local restaurants, gift cards and a canvas bag full of fun stuff (I think the parasite egg magnets were the biggest hit).
We could not do what we do without our team of amazing LVTs. Magda, Quynn, Leah, Sam and Marci are the people making sure that everything gets done correctly for each appointment, as well as doing all of the hands on technical duties – placing IV catheters, monitoring anesthesia, taking x-rays (of body parts as well as dental x-rays), cleaning teeth, running labwork, and looking at cytology samples to name a few of their duties. They are always interacting with clients either in the exam rooms or on the phone, listening as well as teaching. Most importantly they make each and every patient their main focus, doing whatever is needed to help them feel safe and comfortable.
So… a big shout out to Magda, Quynn, Leah, Sam and Marci – thank you, thank you, thank you. You are never thanked enough for everything that you do, all of the things above as well as making OHVH a great place to be for our patients, their families, and our team.
