Meet Howie! 🐾

Howie is one of our sweet Backstreet Boys—a group of boys who were among the last dogs rescued after being abandoned at a dumpster. Their story is heartbreaking, but thankfully, that’s no longer the life they have to know. Today, Howie is safe, loved, and patiently waiting for the family he’s always deserved.

At just 18 months old and approximately 30–35 pounds, Howie is a handsome hound mix with soulful, sad eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. He still has just a little weight to gain, but he’s blossoming more every day.

Because of his past, Howie can be a little shy when he first meets new people. Fast movements or loud noises may cause him to cower at first, but don’t let that fool you—that isn’t who he truly is. Once he realizes he’s safe, his whole world changes. His tail starts wagging, his playful personality shines, and he becomes one of the happiest, sweetest companions you could ask for.

Howie is wonderful with other dogs and has done great around my children of 8 years old that are respectful. He’s a calm, well-mannered boy who seems genuinely grateful for every kind word, every soft bed, and every meal. There is something incredibly special about his gentle spirit.

He’s also doing fantastic with crate training (keeping his crate clean) and is walking nicely on a leash. He’s heartworm negative, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and current on all preventatives, making him more than ready to begin his next chapter.

If you’ve been searching for a loyal best friend who simply wants to love and be loved, Howie may be your perfect match. All he needs is a family willing to give him a little patience at first—and in return, he’ll give you a lifetime of devotion.

LOVING WONDER GIRL! 🐾💦

One afternoon, I received a desperate call from a local pastor whose last name is Bailey. An adorable, underweight puppy had appeared at his church—literally in the middle of nowhere, with no homes nearby. It was clear this sweet baby had been abandoned.

Pastor Bailey couldn’t leave her there. He brought her home, kept her safe, and reached out to us for help. In honor of the kind man who stopped everything to save her, we named this beautiful girl Bailey. 🤍

And goodness… is she SPECIAL. 🥹

Bailey is approximately 7 months old, 34.4 pounds, and appears to be a Lab/Pit mix. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventions, and wonderfully clean in her crate.

Those eyes will melt your heart instantly. Bailey is one of the most beautiful, loving, playful dogs on our property—and easily one of my personal favorites. She gets along beautifully with every dog she has met and has been wonderful with my children. We haven’t seen an unkind bone in her body. Her only “fault” is that she desperately wants to be close to people and soak up every ounce of love she was once denied. ❤️

And then there’s her obsession with WATER! 💦😂 If there’s water nearby, Bailey WILL find it. Turn on the hose and she comes ALIVE—splashing, leaping, chasing the stream, and having the time of her life! Anyone who remembers our former foster Fire Keeper will understand Bailey perfectly. They are practically personality twins! 😂💦

She has happy puppy energy but settles beautifully and is eager to learn. She is still a puppy, though, and occasionally thinks a shoe is a fancy chew toy, so continued training, structure, and appropriate toys are important. 🐾

Bailey is incredibly affectionate and child-friendly, but we feel a home without babies or toddlers would be best. She is a joyful little wiggle worm whose entire body celebrates when she’s excited, and she could accidentally knock over a tiny child. There is ZERO aggression—just more happiness than she knows what to do with! Older children would be wonderful. 🤍

Bailey was abandoned in the middle of nowhere, but she never let it break her spirit. She still trusts. She still loves. She still believes people are wonderful.

Now she needs someone who will spend the rest of her life proving her right. 🥹🤍🐾

Happy five year gotcha day to Ms Moonshine 🎉🎉🎉. It doesn't seem possible that five years have gone by so quickly.

She came into the rescue as a foster and never left home again. It was meant to be.

Moonshine came to us with a condition similar to rickets which made her legs deformed and she walked on her wrists. With good nutrition and proper care, she grew into a big, strong, beautiful, and intelligent girl. Her mom says " We adore her and love her deeply. Today she celebrated with a good walk and another monster stick!"

Moonshine sure, hit the jackpot with his family. It has been a total joy watching her grow and have such a wonderful life over the last five years.

Way to go Moonshine.

Happy Friday everyone. Andy is adopted 🎉🎉. We went to the Shelter back in March and there was only one dog left and we couldn't leave him behind so off to foster care he went.
He is such a sweet boy. We can't imagine how ended up in a Shelter

He is now in his Forever Home and has the life and love he deserves

Its hard to believe , Gabe is still not adopted. He is absolutely gorgeous and such a sweet boy. He's the last of his litter mates to find a Forever Home. We can't believe he hasn't been chosen.
