🐾 Staff Spotlight – Priscilla 🐾

Meet Priscilla, our newest veterinary receptionist—and proud owner of 9 lizards! 🦎 Priscilla loves helping pet parents care for their furry family members and was inspired to join veterinary medicine by her lifelong love of animals.

Her biggest piece of advice? Keep your pets on year-round heartworm, flea, and tick prevention to help keep them happy and healthy. ❤️🐾

Priscilla's favorite reptile is her leopard gecko, Skittles. Fun fact: leopard geckos can drop their tails to escape predators, and the tail can continue to twitch for up to 30 minutes before they eventually regrow it! Nature is pretty amazing. ✨

When she's relaxing at home, you'll likely find her watching Supernatural or Desperate Housewives.

🎃👻 Save the Date! 👻🎃

Join us for our Halloween Celebration on Saturday, October 17th from 4:00–6:00 PM for an evening of spooky fun! 🧡🖤

We're transforming the hospital into a family-friendly Halloween experience! Whether it's a festive Trunk-or-Treat or creatively decorated rooms, you can expect plenty of Halloween fun.

🍬 Candy and treats
🎨 Crafts and non-food goodies for those with allergies or dietary restrictions
🎃 A painted pumpkin decorating contest—vote for your favorite pumpkin and help us crown this year's winner!

To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, please leave your pets at home for this event. While we love seeing your furry family members, this event is designed for children and families, and with costumes, treats, and excited little ones, it's safest for everyone if pets stay home.

We would like to welcome Dr Lauren Hall as she starts with us today. Give the hospital a call to schedule an appointment with her. We can't wait for you to meet her with your pets.

🎉We're excited to welcome Dr. Lauren Hall to our team!

Beginning August 17th, Dr. Hall will be seeing patients and caring for pets at our hospital.

A Maryland native, Dr. Hall earned her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech. She has a special interest in internal medicine and enjoys working through complex cases while building lasting relationships with pets and their families.

Outside of work, she's a proud dance and sports mom who also loves reading, crocheting, and spending time with her husband, two children, two dogs, and two cats.

We're thrilled to have Dr. Hall join our team and can't wait for you and your pets to meet her! 💙🐾 Please help us give her a warm welcome in the comments!

🐾 Staff Spotlight – Shannon M. 🐾

Meet Shannon M., one of our veterinary technicians! Shannon has been with EVH since September of 2025 and has always had a passion for helping animals. Her favorite part of the job is making a difference in the lives of pets every day—and she even enjoys drawing blood! 💉🐾

Shannon hopes to become certified and one day work with marine life or zoo animals, combining her love for veterinary medicine with her fascination for wildlife.

Outside of work, Shannon has a full house with 4 dogs and 2 cats, all named after Disney characters! While dogs are her favorite patients, she admits she can't resist a cute cat, too. 🐶🐱

When she's not at the clinic, you'll likely find her with a cup of coffee, rewatching favorites like Jurassic Park, The Little Mermaid, or The Lion King, or dreaming about having a dolphin as a pet someday. 🐬

📣 Hospital Hours Update 📣

Effective this Friday July 31, our Friday hours will change. We will now be open 8:00 AM–5:00 PM on Fridays (previously until 7:30 PM).

Please plan ahead, especially if your pet needs prescription refills or medications before the weekend. Requesting refills early helps ensure we have everything ready before we close.

We're still open every other Saturday during our regular Saturday hours.

Thank you for your understanding and for trusting us with your pets' care! 💙🐾
