Sake’s Annual Appointment: Husky Edition 💙

Came in for his exam and vaccines… stayed to supervise the techs, demand attention, and take over Beto’s lap. 😂

Sake was all smiles, cuddles, and “Excuse me, I believe this is MY clinic.” 😎🐾

10/10 good boy. 11/10 Husky attitude. 😂💙

Islay came in for her appointment today, and sweet Peat decided to tag along for a very important Victory Visit! 🎉

Peat gets very nervous at the vet, so much so that he usually needs a little help from his sedatives. Today, though, he showed us what a brave boy he can be! 🥹👏

We kept things simple—lots of treats and absolutely no pressure. And guess what?! Peat even took treats from us! 🥰🍪

It may seem like a small thing, but for a nervous pup like Peat, that’s a BIG victory! 🐶

Way to go, Peat! We’re so proud of you! 💙🐾

This is why anesthesia and full mouth X-rays are so important for all dental procedures. You can only see about 40% of the tooth. Your pet can have a healthy looking tooth but under the gums it can be diseased and causing issues and pain.

This dog had Non-Anesthetic Teeth Cleanings every 6 months since 1 year of age. Owner came to us (I worked at a veterinary dental specialty clinic) after seeing blood in food bowl. 18 teeth were abscessed. Owner was devastated because she thought she was doing what was best for her dog. This picture shows that the crown was clean but, the real problem was below the gumline. The danger of this type of cleaning is that the owner thinks the teeth are clean but, the infection is hidden. Cleaning below the gumline and dental X-rays can only be done under anesthesia. Education to pet owners is so important!

Pene came in for an ear infection, but she wasn’t about to let that ruin her day! 😎❄️ She kicked back with Jenna for her cold laser treatment and looked like the coolest patient in the clinic. We can’t promise the laser turns you into a superstar… but we can’t rule it out either! 😂
