Poppy is a sweet and gentle dog! She loves kids. She is a little apprehensive when meeting new dogs but warms up quickly.
She is a bit timid at times but loves snuggles. She is a pretty mellow girl but plays hard when she plays. To add to her unique personality she has a corkscrew at the end of her tail. Tux loves everyone and everything and is a good snuggler. He is great with kids and other dogs. He loves cats but might love them a little too rough. He’s highly motivated by treats. He does have a bit of an obsession with reflections which has gotten him into a bit of trouble. He’s looking for a loving home that has time to play and snuggle with him. She’s a lover girl full of life. From a sweet gentle pet on her head to a belly rub to throwing a ball outside. It will make her day. she’ll even show her appreciation with placing her paw on you or giving you kisses. She is learning new rules like not to counter surf or jump on you because she so excited to see you but she is very smart and catching on quick.

Hazel is a sweet, resilient girl with lots of love to give. She likes to sniff around the yard, chew on antlers, gets excited for walks, and loves to be with her people. Her favorite past time is relaxing especially if its snuggling on the couch beside you.

She had surgery to fix a broken femur, but has been healing and doing physical therapy to get her back on her paws. She gets around without any issues but would not make a good running buddy. Due to cataracts she has adapted to limited vision. She would do best in a calm home where she can feel safe and comfortable, and ideally a fenced yard so she can explore safely.

Have u always loved the cattle dog breed, but enjoy a calmer dog? HAZEL is that perfect blend!

💜 Yesterday, KDO proudly awarded $252,000 through their traditional grant program to nonprofit organizations across Sangamon County that provide vital services and support for seniors in our community. KDO helps support the incredible work these organizations do each day to enhance the lives of older adults. WILD Canine Rescue was honored to be a grant recipient and will carry this gift forward to the seniors with pets in Sangamon County.

With this year’s grants, KDO has now awarded more than $3 million back into our community to help enhance the lives of seniors throughout Sangamon County. We are proud to support our community and the organizations making a difference every day! 💜❤️
