I don’t even know how to begin this Five Dollar Friday except with the DEEPEST gratitude. ❤️

Y’all… WE MADE IT HAPPEN.

I just placed the food order. 🙌🏾 We are scheduled to pick it up Wednesday morning, and I cannot explain the relief and gratitude I feel sitting here knowing that food is officially ordered for these babies.

Marsha, Cheryl and Lori literally stepped in at the last hour with a huge push that helped me get this order placed. I knew we were going to make it happen, but I ain’t gonna lie—when you don’t have a big reserve sitting in the rescue account, every month requires trust, creativity, stretching, and this entire village coming together.

Normally we order around 20–22 boxes to carry us through the month. This time I ordered 15 boxes because I did NOT want to spend every dollar on meat and then have nothing available for the other pieces of their nutrition—the kefir, vegetables, fruit, probiotics and all the little things that help me keep their bodies balanced, especially these growing babies.

So we’re gonna make it do what it do, baby. 😂❤️

We still have some food from the last order, and I know how to stretch what we have. The babies will continue eating throughout the day because they’re growing, and the adults may have their larger meat meal once a day with kefir, fish or other goodies at another feeding. Everybody will be fed, cared for and loved on just like always.

And THIS is why I want to continue our $5 Friday today.

Not from the energy of panic. Not from “we didn’t make it.”

WE DID. 🙌🏾

Now I would love for us to begin creating a reserve so every month doesn’t have to come down to the final hours. Imagine us eventually having next month’s food already sitting there waiting. Imagine a company deciding to sponsor the rescue’s food every month. Imagine donations circulating through this rescue in such a way that when the babies need something, the resources are already present.

That version is absolutely possible too.

And before I say anything else, I need to acknowledge the people who have financially poured into Tzus and Mews since September 1st:

Tammy & John Trutt, Matt Petty, Linda Tatro, Joe Willis, Christine Plaisance, Penny LaZaroff, Dusti Davis, Colleen Pietrowski, Laura Garcia, Cheryl Teter, Jennifer Morris, Eva Kalita, Constance McKenna, Joleen Drew, Deanna Murdy, Diana Hrdilicka, Buenaventura Aldana, Vicky Hurford, Nancy Feener, Karen MacKanos-Long, Marsha Gatling, Steven Grisham, Kaye Grant, Elisia Velasquez, Rhonda Barnes, Sonya Henn, Patricia Rodriguez, Audrey Garcia, Dona Shadowen, Lynee Herrera and Darren Stewart.

THANK YOU. ❤️

And please understand—this gratitude is not only for the names on that list.

If you sent potty pads, supplies, Young Living products, an Amazon package, a gift card or something these babies use every day… thank you.

If you shared our fundraiser… thank you.

If you commented so somebody else would see it… thank you.

If you put a heart on our post… thank you.

If you watched one of our videos all the way through… thank you.

If you quietly sent love toward these babies from wherever you are… THANK YOU.

Energy is currency.

It circulates.

And one of the greatest currencies this rescue has ever had is the loving energy surrounding these babies.

We have watched dogs come through these doors broken down physically, emotionally and energetically, and then we have watched an entire village rally around them until their little light started shining again.

That is what WE do.

I may physically be here in the 3D of it—washing bowls, preparing food, cleaning floors, giving treatments, holding babies, answering messages and making the orders—but I know that I know that I KNOW I am not doing this by myself.

This rescue exists inside a shared field of love.

And all of you are part of that field.

So yes, we are continuing $5 Friday today. Every $5, $10, $20, gift card, supply and act of support can now begin helping us build forward instead of always starting from zero.

And if the sun hits your face today… if a little breeze passes by and gently kisses your cheek… or you suddenly feel one of those warm little moments that seems to come from nowhere…

Receive that as an air kiss from all of us over here at Tzus and Mews. ❤️

We love you.

We appreciate you.

And from every little heartbeat inside this rescue—

THANK YOU. 🐾❤️

With that being said, let’s welcome Ashlynn back home.

Ashlynn was one of our babies from the “A” litter. Her mama, Ashley, came into the rescue with Asher when they were both young Yorkie/Shih Tzu babies coming out of a backyard breeding situation—and Ashley was already pregnant.

Not long after, she gave us the most beautiful little litter of four babies, and Ashlynn was one of them. I’m going to see if I can dig through my pictures and share some of those baby photos with y’all because she has literally been part of this rescue family since the beginning of her life.

Today, Ashlynn is coming back to the rescue to recalibrate, settle back into balance, receive whatever support she needs, and then, when the timing and fit are right, find her next forever family.

So after all those air kisses and all that love we’re sending out to this village today, save a little extra for our girl.

Welcome home, Ashlynn. 🐾❤️

🚨 FOOD ORDER DEADLINE: TOMORROW MORNING 🚨

We’ve raised $800 toward our $2,000 monthly food order, which means there’s still an opportunity to help us close the remaining $1,200 before the order goes in.

✨ $5 AT FIVE — BEFORE FRIDAY ✨

TODAY. THURSDAY. STARTING AT 5 PM.

If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to support Tzus and Mews, THIS is a beautiful one. $5, $10, $25, $50, $100—or whatever amount feels aligned—goes directly toward helping us purchase the babies’ food for the month.

Tammy already sent a box of potty pads, so THANK YOU. That allows more of what comes in to stay focused on food, kefir, and the other things that support the village.

The timing matters because we only get this wholesale food delivery once a month. Whatever we’re able to purchase with this order carries us forward until the next delivery. Anything we have to purchase individually afterward costs roughly 20% more.

So every donation that comes in before tomorrow morning allows us to stretch the same dollars further and put more food in the freezers.

And if somebody has been looking for a place to make a larger contribution and says, “You know what, I’ll close that $1,200 gap”… HALLELUJAH. 😂 We receive that too.

Tzus and Mews Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and eligible donations are tax-deductible.

🚨 ORDER GOES IN TOMORROW MORNING.
🐾 $800 RAISED.
🐾 $1,200 OPPORTUNITY REMAINING.

Whatever comes in, we’ll purchase accordingly and keep doing what we do.

Nevaeh got friends and she’s too grown to be hanging out with boys all day. She had me drive her around to see her girlfriends and then she fell asleep in my arms.

FOOD FUNDRAISER — WE HAVE UNTIL FRIDAY ❤️🐾

I just realized the Labor Day holiday changed our Texas Tripe delivery schedule, which means our food order has to be placed no later than Friday morning if we want to pick up food next week. Our monthly raw food bill for the rescue is around $2,000, so we have just a few days to pull together what we need.

This is one of those moments when we really need our village. If everyone who sees this gives whatever they comfortably can—$5, $10, $20, $50—it adds up quickly. No amount is too small when a whole community moves together. Feeding this many little bodies every single day takes a village, and right now FOOD is the priority.

We also have one of our previously adopted babies returning to the rescue. Once they are back with us, we’ll assess what is going on and determine what holistic support or treatment may be needed, so we may have additional expenses coming very soon.

Right now, though, we have a deadline: FRIDAY. We need to raise as much of that approximately $2,000 food bill as possible so we can get this order placed and have everybody’s bowls filled for another month.

If you can donate, please step up for the babies. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser helps us just as much by putting it in front of someone who can.

It really does take a village—and this village has carried these babies through so much. We need y’all again. 🐾❤️

$5 • $10 • $20 • $50 • whatever you can give.
Every dollar becomes FOOD.
