Unfortunately life doesn’t always go as planned, and that couldn’t be more true these past several months. We’ve had some obstacles both personal and with our dogs, so at this time we are “hopeful” that we may have some puppies later this spring/summer. For those that have been so patient all I can say is thank you. Thank you for your understanding while we navigate through our obstacles.

For those that were hopeful to bring a puppy home this spring, I’m sorry. We try our best with each breeding, but ultimately it’s out of our hands. We have a breeder friend that has some pups available out of our lines. She has 2 black females, 1 yellow female, and 1 yellow male available to go home on April 20th. Salem and Pucker were bred this past week. Provided the breedings were successful we will be welcoming pups in early/mid August. Pucker will be expecting an all black litter, and Salem will be expecting black and chocolate. Neither of them took on their last breedings so we’re crossing our fingers a little extra this time around! 🤞

PSA emergency medical care is EXPENSIVE! We have been there more times than I’d like to count. But you know what? We have peace of mind because our vet is ALWAYS there for us, day or night. I have his personal number, and he has mine. Not once has he declined to help when we needed it most. You won’t find better in a small town vet than someone who will answer your calls day or night, without fail. Dr. Jones and his staff have been monumental in allowing us to do what we love, and I’d love to return the favor. If you have $1 or $100 to spare to support this girl that they stabilized to insure she got into the best hands possible we would truly appreciate it!

Pupdate! Like peas and carrots! These boys couldn’t be anymore alike. Hutch and Rudy are full siblings born 1 year and 1 day apart. They both lay down to eat, have a love for sticks, and look so very similar! This pair is going to be so neat to watch grow up together. 🧡🧡

We visited the vet with the Brady Bunch yesterday and they all behaved so well and got clean bills of health! This was our first time using our wagon (that I’ve had for over a year 🤦🏼‍♀️) and it will definitely not be our last. It was a real life dog pile, but it made the in and out of the office so much easier! A few more days with these little chunks and they’ll start flying the coop!

We have some exciting and unexpected (even to us) news to share. Our girl Anna has been with us for 2 years (we welcomed her as an adult) and we have not taken note of a single heat. There are typically signs such as their v***a swelling, excessive cleaning of themselves, and the most obvious being visible blood. We have never seen any of that. Yesterday we observed her being very friendly with her fur sister and flagging (moving her tail very sharply to the side). It was something we hadn’t seen before so we became suspicious that she may be in heat. On a whim we took her to our reproductive specialist today and she was at the peak of her fertile window. While we did not plan to have pups until the fall, we decided to give it a shot considering we had to let down many families with our most recent breedings and not having enough chocolate puppies to share. We had just the man for the job and he showed up this evening and did his part! So…now we wait. Wait for the hopeful litter that we’ve been waiting for nearly 2 years. We are hoping for the best and if nothing else feel that this is one step closer to figuring out her perfect timing going forward! If successful we will be welcoming black and chocolate puppies near the end of May! 🙏

Side note…if these two have puppies their tongues are going to be outrageous! 🤣

Vet visit today with Harbor’s crew. Everyone passed with flying colors and behaved so well! Due to an emergency at the clinic we had to wait about an hour to be seen, but they handled it so well! A few more days and these little butterballs will be starting to head to their new homes!

Prada and Victor’s little Brady Bunch are now 5️⃣ weeks old! Personalities are really starting to shine! They too have been enjoying the outdoors and sunshine! ☀️ They love their puppy food and are doing much better at not diving into their bowls head first. 😳 A few more weeks with these little nuggets and they’ll be ready to meet their new families!

6️⃣ weeks of these little love bugs! Doesn’t seem possible they’ll be flying the coop in 2️⃣ short weeks. They are absolutely loving playing outside during the day and we are enjoying the sunshine as well! ☀️ They are still on the eat, sleep, play schedule and for the most part sleeping well through the night. Enjoy! 😊
