King is an adult Rottie/ Pitt mix who made mistakes that left him abandoned in a shelter and then when more difficulties arose - a rescue was his only shot to escape destruction. Luckily he landed here and we have been able to show him everyday that life is not over and we can help him let the past go and live in the moment - where balance exists. King has been with us for almost 3 years now and has fully realized that the freedoms and opportunities that exist here are just what a dog like him needs and wants. He is so loving and sweet, happy and energetic. It is always a shame to see that dogs with so much good to offer can be labeled and discarded. What it must be like for a homeless dog to navigate the tumultuous terrain of rescue. Sitting in a shelter wondering if they will see tomorrow, wondering why the home they knew has suddenly disappeared. Unable to explain and reassure with our language - we can only try to soothe and lead these distressed dogs towards better days. Every new dog that arrives here from the shelter comes with a clean slate in our house. What they reveal to us as each day goes by forms our relationship together and ultimately, life for us all. Always wanting balance and peace - our every effort goes towards coexisting with whatever new animal energy arrives.
We are so grateful that we have proven ourselves to this big, handsome, happy dog. Long Live King ❤️

Every single one of these happy faced and fast flying dogs would have lost the chance at a full life without the chance for safety here. Pack Ethic is a place for new beginnings that start with rescue. Nothing in life is guaranteed. We know this from decades of animal rescue first hand. But no matter the troubles or struggle, the day any animal goes without has never been an option. We wouldn’t call ourselves a rescue if we were not able to offer the balance and security that an animal requires everyday and forever if necessary. And the reason that day never comes is because of the angels watching over us everyday. 🙏🏻Please know that the donation you make every month online, that check that comes in the mail, maybe once, maybe five times, maybe every single month matters! Every dollar that is donated makes sure we can keep our promise to every animal in our home and on our property. Please know that it is not just a drop in an already full bucket, but sometimes an oasis after a long thirst in a dry desert. That bag of food that you sent, or that time you sent a dozen felt like being rescued ourselves. Lola is another rescue dog who found herself in a tight spot and needed safety to guarantee her future. Five year old Lola grew up happy in her adoptive home, but as it gradually grew to include two small children and then an accidental dog scrap lead to a neighbor getting bit - she was now a liability to a peaceful life. Lola needed a new beginning away from the stressors that were causing the chaos. Lola has been with us for over a year now and she has settled right in. We love this sweet girl and are so happy we got to be her safety net in this world. With every new moment of happiness and each new day of stability, we have earned Lola’s trust and respect and have made this place her home. ❤️

The daily challenges of keeping up with so many dogs is a mountain to climb everyday. Sometimes the weather adds more adversity to our days and it can feel like a relentless grind. Months pass quickly when the work never ends. Our routine is only interrupted with the comings and goings of our canine housemates. When a dog finds his perfect forever home - we sit back and feel warmth in our hearts at the success. When we welcome a new dog into our fold - we are excited and grateful to offer a new wounded soul the opportunity to heal and find freedom from their past. When we lose a beloved soul, it takes some time to grieve and recover from the loss. No matter the new challenge- happy dogs playing outside on sunny days heal the heart everyday Always. ❤️
