Sometimes God asks us to trust Him even when we can't see the full picture. We may not understand why certain doors close, why prayers seem unanswered, or why the path ahead feels uncertain. But faith means believing that God is working, even when we cannot see it.

Walking by faith doesn't mean we never have doubts or fears. It means choosing to trust God in the middle of them. It means taking the next step, knowing that He is guiding our path, even when we don't know where it leads.

I don’t know who originally said this but it has always stuck with me.

Confidence and preparation go hand in hand. The less prepared you feel the less confident you will be when tested.

Be critical of your practices, that way when you get to the show pen, the roping or even just a new trail. You know when a wrench gets thrown into your expectations you expect more than the minimum so you and your horse don’t lose confidence because you were prepared.

What a weekend! DC Smart Pepto Boon aka Ringo exceeded expectations. We competed in the Illinois ranch horse 2 year old futurity and it was a tough pen of horses. We had some great moments and some great learning opportunities but I’m thankful for this year being able to start him and the trust Christie Ixba had in us. He definitely had the best cheering section. We’ve got one more show for this year and we’ll start looking towards his 3 year old year. Lastly thankyou to my wife looking over the rest of the horses and dealing with sick kids which gave me the opportunity to be here and focus.

Every day, we are faced with choices that can either strengthen our walk with God or lead us away from Him. The world offers plenty of distractions, temptations, and opportunities to compromise our values. But God calls us to stay focused, stand firm in our faith, and remain committed to the path He has set before us.

Following Christ isn't always the easiest road, but it is always the right one. Don't let outside influences pull you away from what you know is right. Stay grounded in His Word, trust His direction, and let your actions reflect your faith.
