The Sgt Pepper's Chicken Bucket Brigade has begun!

For those of you who don’t know, our 5-gallon donation bucket is officially set up at Sgt Pepper’s Chicken in Martinsville through November 25!

And the BEST part….

THE CHICKEN BOSS IS MATCHING DONATIONS UP TO $5,000!

That means your generosity can go TWICE as far in helping us (and other wonderful local non profits) continue our mission to care for the cats of Morgan County!

So, the next time you stop by for some delicious chicken, support a local business AND support your localnon profits all in one trip!

Monday-Feel Good Story!

We’ve now had TWO previously adopted cats found lost. While heartbreaking, we’re so thankful they were found and are safe!

Dilton Doiley is currently at PetSmart in Avon, thanks to our partners at Speedway Animal Rescue.

🧡 Orange Fanta, now Biscuit, was identified by a microchip scan at a local vet Avon Veterinary Clinic this weekend! After being found starving and spending three months with his finder, he’s now loving life with his new friends. Previous owners never responded.

PLEASE MICROCHIP YOUR PETS! If you find a friendly cat wandering the streets, please have them scanned. They may be someone’s missing family member!

Thank you to everyone who stops, cares, and gives homeless animals a second chance. 🐾

Our second annual Cat Winter Shelter Handout was a HUGE success!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out, showed their support, and helped us make a difference for the cats in our community. Every shelter we hand out means one more cat has a safer, warmer place to escape the cold this winter.

Missed us this time? Don’t worry! We’ll be back for ROUND TWO in November! 📣 The date will be announced soon, so keep an eye on our page!

“Do you have an orange cat?”

We’ve gotten this question several times this week, and the answer is YES! Meet Bert. 🧡

Bert is 8 years old, sweeter than a whole bakery, has already had his dental work done, and has a few teeth left. He gets along wonderfully with other animals and is absolutely perfect in every way.

There’s just one thing people seem to have a problem with. Bert is FIV-positive.

“Oh. I don’t want a sick cat. Never mind.”

💔 And just like that, Bert is overlooked AGAIN.

FIV is NOT a death sentence. It does not mean a cat is actively sick, and many FIV-positive cats live long, happy lives. FIV is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds, not through simply sharing food bowls, litter boxes, or snuggling with friendly cats. His current foster home is full of other non FIV cats and dogs as well.

Bert deserves a home, too. He deserves someone who sees him instead of a diagnosis. Someone who sees an affectionate, easygoing, orange gentleman who has so much love left to give.

Please stop letting misinformation make decisions for the cats who need us most.

🧡 Bert is so much more than FIV. He’s a whole lot of love wrapped in orange fur. Who’s going to give this sweet boy his chance?

🌟🐾 THE STAR OF THE SHOW HAS ARRIVED! 🐾🌟

We have a very special new addition to our adoption condo at Pet Supplies Plus in Mooresville — and she is already stealing the spotlight! 💕✨

Meet this beautiful little girl, a kitten who truly has it all! She is extremely affectionate, curious, playful, calm, and incredibly loving. 😻 She loves being around people and has the kind of personality that makes you stop, smile, and fall in love.

🎬🌟 She’s the Star of the Show — and she’s ready for her forever home!

You can see her and meet her in person at Pet Supplies Plus in Mooresville while she waits for her family to find her. And if you don’t make it in before then, she’ll also be making appearances at our upcoming adoption events at the store!

Honestly… SO. MANY. THINGS. It’s almost impossible to list them all, but you know what? We’re going to try. ❤️

And remember: it doesn’t matter if it’s $1 or $5. Every dollar goes toward the same end result:

We’ve held garage sales. We’ve done bake sales. We trap, transport, feed, clean, medicate, coordinate and somehow keep showing up.

Because we love these cats.
Because we love this community.
And because we believe they deserve better.

So whether you donate $1, $5, a bag of food, a case of litter, or simply share our posts — YOU are part of this.
