🦌 Fun Fact Friday! 🦌

Today we’re talking about one of the most magical animals on the farm—REINDEER! ✨

And this photo is extra special because our boy Lightning is growing up so fast! 🥹 He’s starting to shed his velvet, which means he’s looking more and more like a grown-up reindeer every day.

Here are 5 fun facts about reindeer:

🦌 Both male AND female reindeer can grow antlers! Reindeer are the only deer species where females commonly grow antlers too.

🦌 Reindeer antlers are covered in velvet while they’re growing. This soft, fuzzy layer supplies blood and nutrients to help the antlers grow.

❄️ Reindeer are built for cold weather! Their thick fur helps keep them warm in freezing temperatures.

👃 Their noses are specially adapted to help warm up cold air before it reaches their lungs.

🦌 Reindeer can travel incredible distances during migration, with some herds traveling hundreds of miles each year!

Watching Lightning grow has been so special, and we can’t believe how quickly our little guy is turning into a big boy! ❤️⚡️

This morning’s chores came with a little extra excitement thanks to the storm, but bad weather doesn’t mean the farm stops. Every animal still needs to be fed, checked on, and cared for—no matter what Mother Nature has planned. ❤️

Toby has officially tested the upgrades… and we think he approves! 😂🐐

We recently gave the goats’ play area a little refresh with updated spools and new wood, creating even more places to climb, balance, and play. And of course, Toby was one of the first to get up there and put it to the test! 🪵🐐

Safe to say, these goats are living their best lives! 💚

September is here… but apparently summer didn’t get the memo! 🥵☀️

Thunder and Lightning are growing up SO fast, and we can hardly believe how big they’re getting! Little Lightning is still finding ways to beat the heat, though—splashing around and enjoying his pool like it’s the middle of July!

It may somehow be 90 degrees in September, but we are MORE than ready for cooler weather, cozy days, crunchy leaves, and all things FALL! 🍂🎃🧡

Come on, Michigan… we’re ready! 🍁

🐝🌻 A little buzz-worthy fun from this past weekend! 🌻🐝

We had the sweetest private event at the farm with a bees & sunflowers theme! From the adorable bee decorations to the bright pops of yellow throughout the space, everything came together beautifully. 💛🖤

And of course, we had to add a special touch with sunflowers grown right here on the farm! 🌻 There’s something extra special about incorporating a little piece of the farm into a celebration.
