From the moment Kalyx was picked up in Metropolis, there was no question that she was Trinity’s baby. Their bond was immediate, unbreakable, and filled with a lifetime of love.❤️
Kalyx’s very best friend was Bolt, the family’s miniature schnauzer. The two shared countless peaceful moments curled up on the couch beside Trinity, often snoring together without a care in the world. She was also an expert snack catcher who rarely, if ever, allowed a treat tossed into the air to hit the floor.
Although Kalyx endured surgeries that were ultimately unsuccessful, she never allowed her physical challenges to slow her down. For nine wonderful years, she ran along the fence line with the neighboring dogs as though she had four perfectly healthy legs. Her strength, determination, and joyful spirit were truly remarkable.
When Trinity left for college, Kalyx faithfully watched and waited for her to return home each weekend. No matter how much time passed, she always knew when her girl was coming home.
Just two months ago, Kalyx said goodbye to her beloved Bolt. She searched for him for weeks, following his familiar scent and looking for the best friend who had always been by her side. Now, they are together once again, whole, happy, and running freely across the Rainbow Bridge.
Kalyx was the very best big girl, and her family already misses her more than words can express. The love she gave, the memories she created, and the paw prints she left on their hearts will remain forever.
