While CKC will not have produce to sell, I sell what I have all year long.
I have honey for $15. If I am not at home, Bill has honey at the front door. He does not hear so well so keep using the buzzer.
I have a school bell by the door off the driveway (I will be gone from November 19 through December 12 so only honey is available then)
• FLOWERS $5 bouquet: A freeze will kill the last of the flowers but I do have huge Dahlias for the bouquets. The best way to reach me is by email.
• EUCALYPTUS – MINT – PARSLEY (this can be frozen easily), BASIL – STEVIA (put in your tea for sweetening – no aftertaste with the natural leaves) – ROSEMARY – LEMON VERBENA -- $1 bunch
• PERSIMMONS – Ukraine variety is $2 for a box of 3 as they are slightly smaller; the American variety is the largest and they are $1 each – they all need ripening but they will not ripen until picked.
I am starting to pick them now. The Ukraine variety ripens early.
Someone at CKC tells people that the Ukraine variety has to get soft or it is astringent but this is NOT true.
The softer the sweeter but they can be eaten firm and much less sweet.
All of my Persimmons are the non-astringent variety
FREE PLANTS: My wonderful landscaper, Melvin Mendez, cut back all of the Gooseberries. I have giving away many of them as I need to prune out the plants. There is a story that goes with these plants. They must be given TRIPLE PHOS in March or they will not produce berries.
I have Honey Berry (a variety of blueberry) that I need to give away but you need a big bag for them. They really need to be planted with another blueberry variety.
I have blackberry plants – I just do not want to keep them. Bring a box or a big trash bag for them.
