of professional service to the citizens
of the Parish of Caddo by enforcing the
Parish of Caddo Ordinances and Louisiana
State Laws as they pertain to animal control,
public health, public safety and welfare. Comments and any other content containing any of the following are not allowed and the Parish reserves the right to remove any content that is violation

of this social media policy or any applicable law:

1. Comments and articles not topically related to the particular social media article being commented on;
2. Comments in support of or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures;

We will be at Sci-Port's "Clear the Shelter" event this Saturday, August 29th, from 9AM-1PM with adoptable dogs and cats! If you've been thinking about adopting a furry friend and companion, come check us out! Dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. We hope to see you there!🐶🐱

THANK YOU, Caddo Parish, for giving 83 animals a new home at our Clear the Shelters event last Saturday! We are so excited for each of these animals and we sincerely hope that their new home is their FOREVER home!

📌Keep in mind that bringing home a new pet is exciting, but it can also take some adjustment. Give your new furry friend time to settle in, establish a routine, and please be patient as they learn their new environment. Remember the 3-3-3 rule! The first few days aren’t always a perfect reflection of the bond you’ll build. A little patience, preparation, and consistency can go a long way toward helping a new pet feel safe, loved, and truly at home!🐾

📢Didn’t get a chance to join us last weekend? Don’t worry! We’ll have more dogs and cats for you to meet this Saturday from 9AM-1PM at Sci-Port’s "Clear the Shelter" event! We hope to see you there!

HAPPY TAILS UPDATE: MEET STEVIE!
Stevie (formerly known as "Polly") was adopted from the shelter and then returned in April 2023 due to a "lifestyle change". But Stevie didn't have to wait too long before finding a forever home because shortly after arriving, Stevie was adopted again and she is now living her best life! We recently received an update from her adopter: "Hi! I adopted my dog Stevie (aka Polly) from the shelter in April of 2023 after seeing a post about her on Companions of CPAS. They said she had been returned to the shelter shortly after being adopted. I simply cannot imagine why, because she has been the absolute best dog! She is incredibly chill and sweet and loves to cuddle. Everyone who meets her loves her! I cannot imagine the last few years without her and I am so thankful that I found her through y'all! Here are some pics of her enjoying life over the last few years!"🐾

We are so happy that Stevie found an amazing home and is living a wonderful life! Thank you to Stevie's adopter for choosing adoption, and for sending in this amazing update! Save a shelter animal's life--ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!🐾
