Forgotten Dogs Rescue

Forgotten Dogs Rescue Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a foster based nonprofit rescuing homeless dogs in Washington State.

Forgotten Dogs is a foster home based rescue organization located in the Tri-Cities and Seattle areas of Washington State. While Forgotten Dogs will take in any breed, we primarily rescue Pit Bull type dogs and mixes and other bully breeds. We focus on rescuing dogs from shelters, especially in Eastern Washington.

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the d

ogs who have lost all hope—the forgotten dogs. Our Commitment
Once a dog enters the Forgotten Dogs Rescue program, we are committed to it for life. Our dogs live in private foster homes where they receive love, training, and learn to be members of the family. They receive all necessary medical care, and if they come to us with behavioral issues, we invest in training. We are committed to do whatever is necessary to help them become adoptable and find them amazing forever homes. And if at any point an adoption doesn’t work out, we will always welcome the dog back into our program. We make a promise to all of our dogs that they will never again be forgotten.

Logan's fosters went on vacation, so Logan did too! He got to stay with another foster while they were out and it's safe to say he was feeling pretty stellar about it. 😁🌴
Bad news? He stole a toy to bring home with him. Can you blame him? A piggy toy is a hot commodity in the Logan world.

Logan is adoptable and ready for a family that's excited about his huge joy for life, people, and other doggy pals he can build close relationships with. He's a 0 to 100 kinda guy, so zoomies are BIG and naps are bigger and we wouldn't have it any other way.

After finishing her afternoon sun roast, Tatie Tot announces her return by literally busting through her door and continuing the flop on some cool tile. Trust us, we try to tell her not to over heat, but she says we know nothing about being a little potato like her 🥔🙄

This funny pint sized girl is available for adoption now! Tatie Tot bonds very closely to her people, so she'd love a home where she can be nearby and spend lots of time cuddling, sunbathing, and spreading love and laughs.

Ever wondered what it’s really like to foster a rescue dog? We would love to chat if you are in the greater Seattle or Tri-Cities areas of Washington State!

Maybe you’ve thought about fostering but have some questions. Like, how long will you have a dog? What if you have other pets? What happens if you need help? And how on earth do you give them up when they get adopted?! ❤️

Join us for our FREE online Foster Information Session and get all your questions answered!

📅 Saturday, September 19
⏰ 10:00 AM
💻 Online + FREE

We’ll talk about how fostering works at Forgotten Dogs Rescue, the support and supplies we provide, what we look for in foster homes, and how we work to find the right foster dog for your household.

Foster homes are quite literally what make our rescue possible. Every time someone opens their home to a dog, it gives us the ability to say YES to another dog who needs somewhere safe to land. 🐾

And no commitment required — come learn, ask questions, and see if fostering might be right for you!

💚 We can’t do it without fosters like you.

Another hurdle cleared for Trout!

Our sweet Trout had a little spot that needed to come off. His veterinary team was concerned it could be a cyst or a hair follicle tumor, so rather than wait and wonder, off it went!

Trout had the spot removed Thursday by the wonderful team at WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and we’re very happy to report that he is home and recovering great. ❤️

Because of Trout’s history of seizures, we were understandably a little nervous about anesthesia. Thankfully, his doctors were able to remove the spot under sedation instead, and our very good boy handled everything beautifully. PHEW.

The tissue has been sent out for testing, and we’re particularly interested in what it might tell us because there’s a chance the results could provide his veterinary team with some additional information about his seizures. 🤞

For now, we’re just VERY relieved to have this behind him. Trout is home, resting, recovering, and continuing to be one of the sweetest—and seriously cutest—boys around.

I mean… LOOK AT THAT FACE.

We’ll keep everyone posted when we know more!

Excuse us, we're a little busy admiring Loki's little polka dots. 🐞 Lady bug? Dalmatian? Favorite skirt? Who knows, but we think he's still super cute with them!

He is one of our most sensitive little polka dot sweeties and has so much love to give to his favorite people. Being one of his is truly a special experience and we love showing it off.

This guy loves a playdate with other pups to spend extra time outside and WILL use them as a chin rest when he tries to cuddle them after.

Adopt Loki by finding him on his page in our bio!

SIR WADDLESWORTH IS FEELING GOOOOOOD.

For a gentleman who has had his fair share of medical drama, Sir Waddlesworth would like everyone to know that he is currently VERY busy living his best life.

When this guy came to us, we had quite a few things to sort out medically. Along the way, we discovered he has Cushing’s disease and got a stubborn wound healed up. And now?

Well... LOOK AT HIM.

This ridiculous upside-down, grass-rolling, teefies-out creature is exactly what we love to see. Sir Waddlesworth is stable, feeling good, and apparently experiencing a severe case of THE JOYS.

There is just something extra wonderful about watching a medical dog get to the part where they can simply be a dog. 💚

Keep rolling, Sir Waddlesworth. You earned it.
