🐴🎨 Around here, the classroom looks a little different every day! 🤠

Sometimes we ride. Sometimes we paint horse parts on a polka-dotted pony. Sometimes we groom, sometimes we add new decorations to the barn, and sometimes we get creative and make artwork for the walls.

It all depends on the day, the lesson, and where our imagination takes us! 🐴❤️

It's not strange at all when the barn is the classroom, and the teachers are a woman, six horses, and one polka-dotted pony! 😂🐴

At The Barn at Sheltering Tree, learning doesn't always happen at a desk. Sometimes it happens in the saddle, sometimes with a paintbrush, and sometimes with four legs standing right in front of you.

Every day is a little different, every lesson is an adventure, and there's always something new to learn at the barn! 🌳🐎📚

📢 SCHEDULE UPDATE — MAGNAWAVE & RED LIGHT THERAPY CLINIC 🐴

With a few weather-related changes and other event rescheduling taking place, we need to make an adjustment to our upcoming clinic at The Barn at Sheltering Tree.

Our Magnawave and Red Light Therapy Clinic originally scheduled for this Thursday has been rescheduled to November 15th at 2:00 PM.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we work through these schedule changes. We are looking forward to welcoming our practitioner and giving everyone an opportunity to learn more about these therapies and how they may benefit equine wellness. 💙🐎

❤️ A Little Time, A Little Trust, and a Whole Lot of Love ❤️

Some of the most rewarding parts of my days at The Barn at Sheltering Tree happen during the quiet moments, when it's just me and one of our VIP boys.

This is Sunny, and these sessions are about more than massage. They are about taking the time to slow down, pay attention, and give an older horse the care and comfort he deserves. Whether it's massage, acupressure, or simply being present with him, I want Sunny to know that he is valued just as much in his golden years as he was during his working days.

Horses have given us so much over their lifetimes. They have carried us, taught us, worked alongside us, and helped so many people in ways that words can't always explain. I believe they deserve that same patience, kindness, and dedication in return.

At the ranch, caring for our horses isn't just about keeping them fed and sheltered. It's about looking at each horse as an individual and finding ways to support their comfort, well-being, and quality of life.

And sometimes, that means getting down on the ground, wrapping your arms around a big horse's legs, and reminding him just how loved he is. 🐴❤️

Our VIP boys aren't just horses. They're part of the family. And Sunny will always deserve a little extra love and attention.

Due to the wonderful response to our Christmas photo shoots, we are adding Saturday, December 5th! 🎅❤️

Please note that Santa will NOT be available on December 5th. This additional day is for photos with our beautiful horses and Christmas setup.

We are so grateful for the amazing support and all the interest we’ve received! Thank you for helping make this fundraiser such a success for The Barn at Sheltering Tree. ❤️

We only have a few appointment slots left, and once those are filled, that will be it! We will not be adding any more dates.

📚🐴 A New Project for the Kids at The Barn at Sheltering Tree! 🐴📚

I have a new project idea that I’m excited about, and I would love to have our community be a part of it!

We have quite a collection of equine books at the barn, and I have even more of my own that I would love to share. My goal is to create a Horse Library for the kids at the barn and around the community, where they can borrow books and magazines to read, learn, and explore the wonderful world of horses.

As the colder months approach and we spend less time in the saddle, I want to give our kids another way to stay connected to the horses they love. From horse care and breeds to training, horsemanship, and all things equine, there is so much to learn between rides! ❤️

Here’s where you can help! If you have any of the following that you no longer need, we would be grateful for your donations:

🐎 Horse magazines and other equine reading materials
📚 Books suitable for children who are learning about horses
🪵 Old bookshelves or small shelving units you’re ready to part with

🎄 Christmas Photo Shoot Interest List 🎄

We are still receiving quite a few emails asking about our Christmas photo shoots at The Barn at Sheltering Tree, and we appreciate all the interest!

Our currently scheduled sessions are booked, but we are considering adding a second photo shoot the first weekend in December if there is enough interest.

If you would like to be considered for a session, please fill out our interest form using the link below. This will help us determine whether there is enough interest to add another date.

🎄The sessions for November 27th and 28th are officially BOOKED! 🐴📸

For anyone who missed out but would still love a few pictures with the truck and horses, let us know in the comments! If there is enough interest, we may be able to work in some mini sessions.

I do want to be upfront that the horses, trainers, and I have regular work and lessons to keep up with, so any additional sessions will depend on our schedule and the level of interest. We want to make it happen if we can, without taking away from the daily care and training of our herd. ❤️

🐴 A few important things to know:

- Horse handlers will be present with the horses at all times.
- All safety policies will be followed.
- There will be no riding during these sessions. All images with the horses will be on the ground.
- No outside pets will be permitted.
