Warm weather is a favorite for snakes, including rattlesnakes. As it’s been heating up, we are seeing more snakes in our communities. They are usually seen basking in the sun in the cool mornings or late evenings, but not during the heat of the day.

Bites are more serious on the face or neck due to the swelling which may impair breathing.

If someone is bitten, call 911 and get that person to a medical facility immediately. If your pet is bitten, seek veterinary emergency care immediately.

The holidays are just around the corner, which means more food, more treats, and more opportunities for our pets to sneak something they shouldn’t!

While we love including our pets in the holiday festivities, some common holiday foods can be toxic or dangerous for dogs and cats. 🚨

Swipe through to see some of the holiday foods you should keep away from your pets and make sure everyone in the family knows what’s off-limits!

If your pet gets into something they shouldn’t, don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Contact your veterinarian or a pet poison control service for guidance.

❤️ Save this post for the holiday season & share it with a fellow pet parent!
