☁️🌈 9 WEEKS — CARE BEAR CHAPTER 2 UPDATE 🌈☁️
How are our little Cosmic Care Bears already 9 weeks old?! 🥹💗
Wish Bear, Tenderheart, Champ Bear, Care-A-Lot Bear & True Heart are officially entering that stage where everything starts to feel a little more real.
These babies have progressed so nicely with their harness training, car rides and outings. Each new experience has helped them become more comfortable and confident taking in the world around them, and it has been so much fun watching all that early exposure begin to come together.
Today, we're meeting up for another play date with our local waitlist family, giving them another opportunity to spend time with these babies they've been watching grow. 🥰
We also have another fun little milestone happening today—DNA swabs!
As always, our breeding parents are DNA tested before breeding, so this isn't about replacing that important health testing. This is something extra I love being able to do for our families—a fun way for them to learn even more about the genetics behind their individual baby and some of the little traits that help make them uniquely them. 💗
Because after watching these babies grow from their very first moments, there's something pretty special about getting one more little glimpse into what makes each cosmic kitten one of a kind. ✨
And behind the scenes, the little details that remind me just how close we're getting to go-home days are starting to happen...
Their spay/neuter/microchiping appointments are officially on the books.
Conversations about meeting spots for go-home days have begun.
And preparations for their next chapters are slowly falling into place.
But there is one part of these final weeks that I might be looking forward to most...
The Care Bears are moving in with ME. 🥹❤️
Their last weeks at Cosmic Cats before transitioning into their forever homes will be spent right in my room.
More one-on-one time. More snuggles. More falling asleep and waking up together. More opportunities for them to become part of the everyday rhythm of our home before they become part of the everyday rhythm of theirs.
I know those final weeks will probably make saying goodbye even harder...but I wouldn't trade that extra time with them for anything.
Nine weeks ago, they were tiny babies completely dependent on their mama. Now they're confident little explorers preparing for families of their own.
We still have some growing, learning, adventures and memories left to make...there is really so much growth that occurs in these final weeks that helps to make these babies the perfect companions.
And I'm going to soak up every single second.
Happy 9 weeks, my sweet care bear babies. 💗
The countdown to your biggest adventure is officially beginning.
