Could this little guy get any cuter!?

We are beyond happy that he is out of the woods and thriving… but that always comes at a cost.

Please consider helping us with his medical bills and future bills by donating to our fundraiser for him.

Added bonus is that whomever does the largest donation will get to name him! I don’t think we will ever get another that is this small, so it will surely be a fun one to name!

This life is not easy.

It demands sweat, blood, and tears. It makes my heart rip open with each new rescue and it shreds it to pieces when it’s time to let go of these animals that we’ve poured our soul into. It takes every penny raised to just get by, and With no guarantee that tomorrow will bring any money to cover future days.

Every day takes and takes, and it’s the love of these horses that gets me from dawn to dusk.

But today, as I ended my ride, I came back to the most peaceful movie playing out in front of me. I sat on lily and just watched as the herd of rescue horses ate their dinner in front of us. The last warmth of the day’s sun rays danced across their backs as they filled their bellies with a warm dinner mash.

And I felt so grateful.

Each of these horses would have been dead without this place. And now they spend their days without a single worry. They always have food, water and shelter. They have friends and kind people who stop and love on them whenever they can.

So, instead of feeling what your life takes from you, please take a moment to stop and see all you’ve done. And feel grateful for it all ❤️

The extreme weather we have experienced this winter has taken a substantial hit on our winter hay supply. Horses need constant hay to stay warm in winter, and with many days of -20° to -30° weather, the amount of hay they need is astronomical… and well they’ve been burning through our hay supply.

This weekend will be another substantial hit on us with more extreme temperatures forecasted. 🥶

To help with fundraising for more hay, I have decided to send one winner two of our newly arrived Storeybrook Farm handmade mugs.

Anyone who donates $10 will automatically enter to win them. You will get a new entry to win every time the donation is increased by $10. (So if you donate $20 you get 2 entries, $30 = 3 entries, $100= 10 entries etc).

I hate having to always ask for money, and I want there to be something in it for you all when you do (besides the amazing feeling you get of helping others 😉).

So please donate to help us and maybe win some awesome mugs that support a great cause! Every time you drink a warm drink from them you can know you’ve also helped in keeping our rescues warm too!

Please share!

Another epic 🧊freeze🧊is forecasted for us and it seems like we can’t catch a break.

Not only did winter arrive a month early in our area, but it has also stayed consistently dangerously freezing.

We are 🔥BURNING🔥 through our winter hay supply and need to do an 🚨EMERGENCY🚨 fundraiser to get more hay.

As long as the horses have nice coats, shelter, water, and PLENTY of hay, they are completely fine in these temps. But hay is crucial for keeping their body heat up which is why we have been going through so much hay so fast.

This is not a want. This is a NEED.

Please please please donate to help us keep these rescues warm and with full bellies 🙏🏼 🥶

Update: this horse was bailed by another party.

I wasn’t ready to bail another one, but then I saw him.

This horse won $103,000 on the race track, but that didn’t keep him safe.

Not only did it not keep him safe, but his life has lead him to be dumped at a kill pen 3 times in the last few years. Starved by the people that “saved” him and then dumped him again.

I’m not sure if we will be able to raise the funds for him, but I can’t look away and not try.

His bail price is $1,150. I am setting a fundraising goal of $4,000 to get him on the trailer home to us with the senior Belgian.

Please share his story.

Please donate to help us save him.

Please help.
