One Step Closer Animal Rescue OSCAR Our Rescue was created through the desire to save the lives of innocent animals. One Step Closer Animal Rescue, Inc. O.S.C.A.R.

All of our members have a strong passion to save as many dogs and cats as we can, as well as a commitment to ensure great futures for all of the pets we rescue. in Sparta, New Jersey, is a non-profit rescue organization that saves dogs and cats from desperate situations. We rescue pets from overcrowded shelters where animals are euthanized due to lack of space. cares for these pets and gives them

the loving care they deserve. We ensure that all pets in our care receive the proper veterinary attention and vaccinations, and that the animals are spayed/neutered. All of O.S.C.A.R.'s dogs and cats are great animals that deserve loving homes. In addition, OSCAR helps the local community with strays, re-homing animals, intake of NJSPCA abuse cases, and TNR (trap neuter release on feral cats). We strongly believe in working with the community to benefit animals now and in the future through our outreach programs.

Meet Massey. This adorable girl was being given away free at a Tractor Supply parking lot and hence her name (after Massey Ferguson a tractor brand). Little Miss Massey is a typical loveable puppy - friendly, playful and huggable. She loves her toys and her treats. Massey is good with people and other dogs. We do not know what she thinks about cats. Massey is about 3-4 months old and 15 pounds.

Meet Ginger. This beautiful girl is looking for a new home due to no fault of her own. Her family is relocating and could not take her with them and we promised to find her a good home. Ginger is playful, outgoing, affectionate and curious. She knows commands such as sit, place (=lay down), stay, etc. She loves to play fetch, squeaky toys and take long walks. Her family would take Ginger to the dog park where she got along great with other dogs. She has lived with a child and would do best with kids 8+ years (due to her size). We do not know what she thinks of cats. Ginger is about a year old and 72 pounds.

Who can resist this beautiful brown-eyed blonde? She follows you around the house keeping you in sight - in the bedroom, to the kitchen, then the basement. Cristal is definitely your shadow!
Cristal is 56 lbs of pure devotion! She’s well behaved (socks on the floor? Houseplants ? No problem!) and is very respectful of what is not hers. She sits for meals and treats. She is very predictable about potty breaks and has had only one accident in a month ( which was foster Mom’s fault 😕). Cristal is a pleasure to walk, loves car rides, zoomies and playing fetch in the yard. Squeaky toys and bones are favorites. Her foster parents can’t say enough about what a wonderful addition Cristal can be to your family!

ADOPTABLE PUPPY: MILEY
HOPATCONG, NJ

Miley was an owner surrender. She was kept in a crate while her owners were away at work. They loved her and took good care of her but felt bad about keeping her in a crate for such long hours and felt she deserved better. Miley is a good natured girl and takes treats gently. She knows how to do a sit, down and roll over. She loves to run in the play yard and loves her squeaky toys. She is also a face licker/kisser, big time tail wagger, and a "hugger". She gets along with other dogs. She would do great in a home with an active family. As Miley is still young, her playfulness might be too much for very young children who are not used to being around dogs so please keep that in mind but otherwise Miley is a terrific girl. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Miley is about 8 months old and 27 pounds.
