🐾 13 Things You May Not Know About Redding Reptiles!

#11 – Meet Harley, Our Head of Security! 🐶❤️

Harley joined the Redding Reptiles team in 2014, and he’s been keeping us all in line ever since!

Over the years, he’s worn many hats — official greeter, rat chaser, professional barker, and, most importantly, everyone’s favorite little lover! ❤️

He may be small, but he’s always taken his job seriously (especially when it comes to barking!). 😂

Harley has been part of the Redding Reptiles family for 12 years, proving that you don’t have to be a reptile to be part of our crew! 🦎🐾

🦎 13 Things You May Not Know About Redding Reptiles!

#10 – Leah Wasn’t Taking No for an Answer! ❤️

I love sharing this story!

Leah has been part of the Redding Reptiles family for almost three years, but if she’d had her way, she would have joined us YEARS earlier!

Every time we posted a help-wanted ad, Leah applied. She was determined to work at Redding Reptiles!

When we finally hired her, Ryan’s first reaction was, “But what good is she going to be?” 😂

Well, the joke’s on Ryan!

Not only has Leah become a wonderful part of our team, but she and Ryan have been a couple for the past 2½ years, sharing their love of reptiles both at work and at home! ❤️🦎

Sometimes things just have a funny way of working out!

🦎 13 Things You May Not Know About Redding Reptiles!

#9 – Meet Cassie, Our Behind-the-Scenes Marketing Magic! 💚

Our daughter Cassie may never have worked a day behind the counter, but she’s been an important part of the Redding Reptiles story from the very beginning!

From creating our branding and websites to helping us navigate social media and SEO, Cassie has played a huge role in putting Redding Reptiles on the map!

She’s our go-to person for marketing advice, creative ideas, and guidance on promoting our business. She’s even taught Sandra a thing or two about social media! 😉

And here’s a fun fact: Cassie is the reason we got our very first snake! 🐍

Today, she’s a reptile owner herself, sharing that same love of reptiles with her own family.

Redding Reptiles has always been a family affair, and Cassie has been part of that journey since day one! 💚

🦎 13 FUN FACTS FOR 13 YEARS! 🎉

#8 – Behind the Scenes with Steve! 💚

Did you know that Sandra’s husband, Steve, played a big part in building Redding Reptiles?

From helping build the original store counter (that we still use today!) to birthday parties, reptile expos, and countless hours helping wherever needed, Steve has been part of the journey from the beginning.

A nurse by profession, Steve had never owned reptiles before Redding Reptiles came along. But he jumped right in, embraced the passion, and became a reptile enthusiast himself!

Nurse by day, reptile wrangler whenever needed! 🐍❤️

Thirteen years later, we’re still grateful for everything he helped build!

🦜 DID YOU KNOW? FUN FACT #7! 🦜
Molly wasn’t always the only bird at Redding Reptiles!
Back in the day, we had quite the feathered crew! From parakeets and cockatoos to zebra finches and even a few surrendered birds, Molly had plenty of company!
But when we made the decision to become a reptiles-only store, Molly apparently didn’t get the memo! 😂
She put her wing down and made it VERY clear that she wasn’t going anywhere!
And 13 years later, Molly is still part of the Redding Reptiles family! 💚🦜
Some things just aren’t up for negotiation! 😂
