Birdie is a total sweetheart who’s happiest right by your side. She’s searching for a two-mom house, or a home where any men are extra gentle and patient — she’s still learning that guys can be kind too.

Birdie is leash-trained, crate-trained, and fully potty-trained and has awesome recall. Birdie has a strong prey drive, so she’ll do best in a cat-free, no-chickens home. She’d love to be your hiking or walking buddy — she’s always up for an adventure and brings joy wherever she goes.

Welcome our three treckers thru the barn doors. Because of compassionate caring humans these three sentient souls get a second chance.

The Underdog Railroad temp fostered and delivered them to us with the help of transport volunteers.

Now we let the decompress and relax. Shelter environment is stressful. Travel is stressful. A lot of change in a few short days.

More details on each of them soon, I promise.
But I want to give a shout out to the Farm hands working hard at saving lives, the shelter staff who advocate endlessly for these at risk dogs, and our dear friends, who are the facilitators of so many freedom rides.

What's going on with Elsa these days?

This 35lbs of s***k has been adventuring and in training with her foster mom, Laci. These guys are putting in the work to help Elsa adapt into a forever home. She recently graduated from the Spokane Dog Training Club's Beginning Home Companion course.

Elsa does well with other dogs once she gets to know them, especially if they respect her space. She is not interested in playing with other dogs and prefers they leave her alone. She would much prefers human companionship once she gets to know you. She has a strong prey drive, though she appears to do well with cats in the home. One thing she absolutely cannot live without is her beloved toys.

Whether she’s chasing a stick like the champion retriever she is or curling up after a long day of fun, Elsa brings joy wherever she goes. She is 1000% Heeler in both personality and traits.

Elsa can be wary of new people at first and needs a patient adopter who will give her a few moments and space to adjust. Once she trusts you, she loves deeply and loyally for life. Because she takes time to settle in and feel secure, a calm, quieter home would suit her best. A busy household is not ideal, and homes with young children are not recommended.

🚜💙🐶 Farm Dog Adoption Alert!

Mouse landed herself in the shelter after her owner was no longer able to care for her. She was a senior dog with only a few teeth left, but those big ears made her unforgettable. Mouse is easygoing, gentle, and simply sweet. We knew we needed to get her out of the shelter, especially at her age.

Then came Terri and Jason. Mouse fit right into their home and quickly became part of the family alongside their dog, Orlando.

Thank you, Terri and Jason, for opening your hearts and home to one of our senior dogs. Senior pets deserve love and comfort too, and Mouse truly found the perfect family.

Cuteness overload, anyone?

Oscar arrvied from a teeny tiny shelter in Utah that has a heck of a time getting dogs out. Our super Transport Coordinators reached out and how could we say no to this face....

I got the pleasure of snuggling him for a few hours thru Montana legs and landed safely through the barn doors in CDA.

Oscar is a youngster, 1yr. 28lbs and small is overall size but a tank. A larger dog would be best to handle his energy, no small kids. As you can see from photos, he enjoys a momma dog for snuggles.

He has all his shots, neutered, and is microchipped

He does have quite the scar on him, but no worries he has no idea he's special.

Cooper is searching for a soft place to land and spend his golden years surrounded by love. This adorable little Pom mix came through the Furry Farm doors through no fault of his own after his family experienced a tragic accident and could no longer care for him.

Cooper is the definition of companion dog. He loves short walks, belly rubs, and finding the coziest spot on the couch — preferably buried under a pile of pillows! He’s incredibly loving and loyal, following his person everywhere they go.

This sweet senior is 100% potty trained, rides great in the car, and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids. He crates “okay,” but if Cooper had his choice, he’d much rather be curled up beside you on the couch.

Like many of us, Cooper has never missed a snack in his life and could benefit from regular walks to help shed a few extra pounds!

Cooper also recently had an extensive dental procedure completed. Following our veterinarian’s recommendation, he will need annual dental cleanings moving forward to help maintain his overall health.
