One thing Iโve always believed very strongly in is that you should never stop learning. No matter how many years youโve ridden, trained, taught lessons, or worked with horsesโฆ there should always be someone helping sharpen your tools.
This past week I invested the time, travel, and expense to attend a two day clinic with Timi Lickley, and I can honestly say it was one of the most beneficial clinics Iโve attended in a very long time.
One thing that immediately stood out to me was when Timi was asked who she rides with to continue sharpening her own toolsโฆ she had an answer without hesitation. That spoke volumes to me. ๐๐ป
As trainers, I think itโs important to ask ourselves:๐ช๐ต๐ฒ๐ป ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐น๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐?
I invest thousands of dollars every year into continuing education, clinics, lessons, and experiences that ultimately benefit not only myself, but my horses and clients as well. I never want to become stagnant in this industry, and I truly value opportunities to continue growing.
Very thankful for the experience, the knowledge shared, and the reminder that good horsemen never stop learning. ๐ค
