Some really special moments have been unfolding out here lately, and we thought we’d share a little of that with y’all from the digital front porch.

We’ve been having a lot of fun with these full and half Ranch Days, and it’s been a joy seeing how the pace of the country takes over. For some, that’s looked like a full immersion—where a sunset saunter leads naturally into a campfire with s’mores. Whatever your choice, we can supply you with a hearty, homecoming Texas meal so you go home tired and full, with some great candid memories we’ve caught for you along the way.

Others have been enjoying our private ranch blocks, like a 3-Hour Whimsical Wandering or a 2-Hour Private Ranch Retreat Adventure, for a focused escape from the city. Or, you may simply enjoy your horseback experience on a steady, true pleasure horse.

Whichever path you take, the day unfolds with a practiced ease we’ve prepared just for you. You settle in, and we take care of the rest—complimentary memories included, to enjoy as you go on down your trail until our ranch trails cross again.

Ending Easter Sunday on a quiet note with a very special celebration! 🌿
​This birthday girl decided the best way to kick off her new year was in the saddle, and we couldn't agree more. There’s nothing like the rhythm of hoofbeats to reset for the year ahead.
​We hope your Easter was filled with family, sunshine, and as much peace as she found on the trail today. Happy Birthday from all of us at Chisholm Trail Rides! 🐎✨

A birthday gift given back to the ranch.

With many trails across North Texas closed due to the recent rain, it seemed the weather might have other plans for a certain ten-year-old’s Easter birthday. Out here, the natural basin and drainage of the ranch allow us to stay steady when others have to pause.

It resulted in something better than a typical party: a morning of "presence over pixels."

Watching a mother and daughter bond while navigating the trail was a beautiful sight, but it was the guest of honor who truly set the tone. Hearing the pure delight of "I love it, I love it!" echoing across the water was a gift of joy that made our Easter extra special.

To our young rider who hit double digits today: thank you for making our day. We’re glad we could keep the gate open for your milestone birthday.

To our wider community, we hope this spring holiday weekend has offered you a similar sense of quiet joy and restorative peace.
