Amen to that

The Ranch Horse Ten Commandments. Every horse in this program gets measured against these.

Be Led — easy to catch, lead, and tie. No issues.
Be Still — stands for the saddle, the bridle, and the rider.
Be Kind — good to the farrier, takes his medicine.
Be Safe — no bucking, rearing, or running off.
Be Brave — brave on the trail. Rates the rider.
Be Natural — natural headset, drives from behind, stops and turns off his hind end.
Be Useful — works gates. Tracks and rates cattle.
Be Calm — accepts a rope. Doesn't get excited.
Be Patient — ground ties. Hobbles.
Be Present — not easily distracted. Stays with you.

"I haven't found a better way to build confidence in a young horse than to let them work cattle in the open."

This is your encouragement to chase your dreams.
Don't get stuck in the mindset of "I can't." Because trust me, you can.
With the passing of my Mom in 2025, this has been a year of trying and trusting in God’s plan. Every goal, every dream, every accomplishment started with a try. And I am not done trying.

My advice to you:
1.) Be there for yourself.
2.) Be there for your horse.
3.) Surround yourself around people
who want nothing but the best for you.
4.) Show up everyday, even when you do not feel like it.
5.) Make small attainable goals.
6.) Take many lessons, attend lots
of clinics.
7.) Find a mentor in the horse industry .
8.) Challenge yourself physically and mentally.
9.) Perhaps one of the most important ones, be the best version of yourself for YOU and your horse.
10.) Always have a smile on your face.

We are looking for a motivated and hard working individual to join our team as a Working Student!

This position is ideal for someone who wants to further their horsemanship, gain hands-on experience in a professional training program, and immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of a busy horse farm.

Responsibilities include:
🐴 Daily horse care (feeding, watering, turnout, blanketing, etc.)
🐴 Stall cleaning and general barn chores
🐴 Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe barn environment
🐴 Assisting with horse handling and grooming
🐴 Supporting training, lessons, clinics, and farm events as needed
🐴 Being dependable, punctual, and willing to learn

What you'll receive:

My best reflection time is on the back of a horse

There was a time when Ellie felt like a horse completely ruled by anxiety.
Kicking out, bolting, spooking at everything, always waiting for the next reaction. There were many days where the thought of sitting on her made me sick to my stomach.
But again and again she has taught me to be patient, which is very hard for me! Going back to the beginning was the re-set for this horse. We still have a lot of work to do, but I wake up to everyday on fire to work Ellie Mae and see what we can accomplish next!

What a weekend we had! Lots of laughter, smiles, goals achieved, new goals made, and friendships made. Huge thank you to Patrick Sullivan and Avery! Thank you to Avery for sharing Patrick with us, and Patrick thank you for sharing your passion, inspiration, and vision with us. And a huge thank you to all our clinic participants! Incredible weekend!

Meet Levi!!!

Levi is a 4-year-old registered Quarter Horse who has been started correctly from the very beginning with a strong emphasis confidence, and real-world experience. He is level-headed, willing, and exceptionally versatile.

Levi spent 6 months in professional ranch training in Colorado where he gained extensive miles working across rugged mountain terrain and open country. During his time there, he was exposed to all aspects of day-to-day ranch life including gathering cattle, sorting, and being ridden in a variety of environments. He has been roped off of and has seen cattle extensively giving him a solid foundation.

Levi has a great mind to him and handles new situations with maturity well beyond his age. Whether you are looking for a dependable ranch prospect, trail partner, versatility horse, or an all-around horse to continue bringing along, Levi has the foundation and temperament to excel in multiple directions.
