Lots of positive vibes from GRCA National Specialty. Got to see good friends get ribbons John Robinson's Amateur 3rd and Derby 1st, Jim Buckley Derby 2nd, Dave Cheatham Amateur 2nd,Lynn Nelson Open win! WOW

Also loved getting to see and hug my old friend and former dog Fitz! Great too watch him JAM the Open and know what great hands he is in with Chuck and Shiela Stokes, Loved the kisses Fitz gave me and seeing him as Mulligan's clone gave me chills! Chuck and Fitz below.

A bit frustrated but not totally disappointed. Returned home from the GRCA National Specialty with empty hands. No ribbons but actually pleased with my 3 year old Maci daughter, Cori. She decided to run a different water blind than the Qual judges wanted, but did beautiful work on the land marks and blind.
She was up to it for the Open land marks and blind and fell for the traps of the water/land blind third series (at least the water part was great). Then she ran the fourth series as test dog and absolutely nailed it with two long accurate swims and a perfect flyer. Gotta love the developing talent.
Last series of the open below.

Cori and I ran ouR first Qual together. We only had a few days to get our signals straight but she ran a really good trial for me. She was near perfect on her blinds but missed pinning a good mark on the first series and it was tough to make up with all the talented local dogs. I was happy with her work and don't mind bringing home the reserve JAM ( RCM in Canada).
