Locks Edge is located in Poolesville, Maryland in the heart of the Agricultural Reserve. Founded in 2016, we are proud to offer a brand new, spectacular barn and arenas in a small private setting on 57 serene acres. We are hiring! Private 16 stall dressage barn in Poolesville, Maryland looking for assistant manager. We have a beautiful, well-maintained facility with ample help, lovely clients and a fun, hardworking team. This is a 5 day a week position with some weekend hours, night check, and occasional travel. Must be experienced, preferably with sport horse experience. Job to include all normal barn duties including stalls, grooming, organizing work flow and some outside duties such as mowing, dragging and weeding. A little better every time. Kayla’s 3rd time showing PSG this weekend at Waredaca earned her a 70% and FEI High Score Champion yesterday and a 69.4% today. Still too many mistakes, but she’s getting it and becoming so much fun! Good job tiny horse!

ISO Assistant Barn Manager. Smaller private dressage barn in Poolesville, Maryland looking for an assistant manager. A job opportunity for our current person’s husband has them moving out of state. 16 stalls, spectacular, well-maintained facility on 57 gorgeous acres close to Virginia and DC. Owner is a veterinarian and a Grand Prix rider and lives on site. Staff is professional and long term. Care is exceptional and very personalized so we are looking for someone experienced who is very detail oriented. Womderful group of boarders. We are no drama, professional, and kind. 5 day work week, lovely housing, full benefits including 100% of health insurance, vacation, 401k, competitive pay. Duties to include general horse, barn and farm care, some grooming for owner’s horses, small amount of mostly local travel for shows, and assisting manager as needed. This is not a riding position but some riding opportunities might be possible for the right individual. Must be comfortable handling mares, foals and young stock as we do a very limited amount of breeding as well. Housing available. PM or email [email protected]

So grateful to Stacy Lynne Equine Photography for capturing these of Venti (Vitalis x L’Espoir (Lord Leatherdale)) just before he was weaned this fall. He’s now a furry yak on his way to the awkward yearling stage. It goes by in a flash and having a foal has been such a fun experience. I can’t wait to breed Lola back this spring. She has found her calling🧡
