For fifteen years, Elizabeth Maness and Elite Show Horses have gone hand in hand. A partnership built on trust, consistency, and a genuine love for the horse.

Over the years, she’s had the opportunity to show some incredible horses. But one in particular helped shape the journey, Zippos Paycheck. A once-in-a-lifetime partner that carried her through countless wins and unforgettable moments, laying the foundation for everything that followed.

When it came time for him to step into retirement, a new chapter began.

In 2019, Pop Sensation arrived at Elite Show Horses as a talented trail horse with all the potential in the world. James saw the pieces were there for something special, and Elizabeth trusted the process. Together, they turned potential into results.

• 2023 World Champion in Horsemanship & Hunt Seat Equitation
• 2024 Reserve World Champion in Horsemanship & Hunt Seat Equitation

Then life gave Elizabeth an even greater title in 2025… becoming a mother to her daughter, Emory.

Now, after taking time away from the show pen, Elizabeth is returning to the APHA World Show with Pop Sensation to compete in Horsemanship, Trail, and Hunt Seat Equitation.

Not just as a competitor, but as a mother, horsewoman, and proof that sometimes the best chapters come after the pause.

For over four decades, Tracy Shelhorn has been woven into APHA. Since 1983, she’s shown legendary mounts and built a career most horsemen only dream of.

Then she stepped away. But great competitors come back stronger.

Last year, Tracy returned to the APHA World Show and delivered: Reserve World Champion Novice Amateur Hunter Under Saddle 🏆. A statement, not a tentative comeback.

But Tracy’s not just rebuilding her own career. She’s building the next generation.

With James, she’s become a partner in developing young trail horses. Her project Stop On Red, a carefully bred prospect by the great sire, Heart Stoppin, won the 3-Year-Old Trail Sweepstakes at last year’s World Show.

�10 APHA World Championships. 9 Reserve World Championships. More than 22,000 APHA points earned. A career most people only dream about. 🏆

But Maggie Griffin-Book isn’t finished yet. 💪🏼

After stepping away from the APHA World Show for the last two years, Maggie is making her return in 2026 with Yeehaw Cowboy, a talented new gelding with a proven record of his own. Together, they’re stepping back into the Amateur All-Around with their sights set high.

And in true Maggie fashion, she’s already proven she can rise to the top at every stage of her career. In 2023, she earned the title of APHA’s #1 Amateur, one of the few accomplishments she had not yet checked off her list. ✅

That’s what makes great horsemen different. They don’t just win once. They rebuild, adapt, and come back ready to do it all over again with a new partner.

And this year, it’s a family affair.

Maggie’s mother, Sally Griffin, is also returning to the APHA World Show after seven years away from the arena. A champion in her own right, Sally holds 7 APHA World Championships and 6 Reserve World Championships, and will be competing in Masters Amateur Walk-Trot Showmanship. 🫶🏼
