🐾 What your dog’s nose knows (that you might not!)
Did you know that a dog’s sense of smell is up to 100,000 times more powerful than ours? While we might love the smell of a "Midnight Summer" plug-in or a "Fresh Linen" wax melt, for our pups (and kitties!), those scents can be overwhelming—and even harmful.
Many common home fragrance products contain:
🚫 Phthalates: Known hormone disruptors that can interfere with your pet’s endocrine system.
🚫 VOCs: Chemicals like formaldehyde that release into the air when heated.
🚫 Essential Oil Risks: Many scents like cinnamon, citrus, and peppermint are actually toxic to cats and dogs when inhaled continuously.
The LuvPup Tip: If you notice your pet sneezing, having "watery" eyes, or acting restless when a plug-in is on, they might be reacting to the chemicals!
Looking for a safer way to freshen up? Try a stovetop simmer with orange peels and cinnamon sticks, or look for 100% beeswax melts. Let's keep those tails wagging and those lungs clear! 🐶✨
