š¾ Throwback Thursday: Where It All Began
This September, as we recognize Service Dog Month, weāre looking back at the very beginnings of the Australian Labradoodle.
The breedās story is rooted in a special purposeāthe desire to develop an allergy-friendly guide dog. Through generations of careful, purposeful breeding, Australian Labradoodles became known for their intelligence, intuition, trainability and strong connection to people.
Those qualities are also why Australian Labradoodles can make excellent service and assistance dogs. Today, ALDs can be found working alongside people as guide dogs, medical alert dogs, mobility assistance dogs, therapy dogs and in many other important roles.
From their earliest beginnings, helping people has been an important part of the Australian Labradoodle story. ā¤ļø
